What to ask the doc about implants?`
Those who have either already had implant surgeries or discussions with their doc's, what would or have you asked about this surgery?

Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.

As with Mike I also had an implant done by Dr. Doug Milam. Dr. Milam is associated with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They have done a lot to address the pain associated with a penile implant. If you are using someone else be sure to ask them about what they do for the pain. You need to know what to expect post surgery. Dr. Milam tells you to do nothing but lie on your back for 5 days. This helps the swelling and pain. You do not want to be standing or sitting for very long. My experience was exactly what Dr. Milam said it would be. The first 24 hours after surgery is not too bad but then the swelling kicks in and the pain with it. I did not start taking the pain pills until the second day post op and stayed on them for three days. After the 5th day post op I was feeling good enough to go out and do things. Be aware the implant is pumped up during the surgery and is left that way until you go back for activation about 6 weeks post op. In my case it was about a 4 inch erection I had for 6 weeks. You also have to wear a jock strap for five days. The one they gave me in the hospital was not very comfortable. I had bought a couple at the local Academy store and they were a lot better.
The one surprise I had was how hard the penile implant was to pump the first few weeks. The pump apparently has some breakin time and now it is easy to pump.
Good luck!

Is there any special kind or brand of jock strap I should buy to be comfortable. My surgery is not until early January but I want to do everything I can to help myself ahead of that time! Thank you!

It depends I suppose on what you like. I preferred Papi jocks, right after the surgery if I had to wear anything that is. Definitely not compression or more athletic jocks. The first 2 weeks I was naked most of the time. After activating I prefer pouched jocks like the Papi or their thongs. I also like the 2xizt thong. To be really comfortable after I deflated I would give it pump or 2 to take out a kink like feeling in my cock. It does make more of a bulge but not overly noticeable. And I wear scrubs at work so there isn’t many clothes as light weight as scrubs.
ED 20 years, Peyroine's Disease diagnosed in 2018, at 57 years I was implanted September 3rd 2019 at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, AMS700 CX 21cm + 2cm RTE

What was your size before surgery? Is 4” erect not a blow to your confidence during 6 weeks of recovery? Have you recovered your original size now?
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.
