When I ask the surgeon when I was in for my followup visit if he put a AMS LGX in or a CX in he couldn't tell me for sure. He said that he was pretty sure it was a LGX, but it didn't get put into the computer. He said he would get back to me. When I talked to his nurse on the next day, I asked her about it and she said he would call me. I still haven't heard yet. Do you think that AMS would know? It seems to me they would have to keep close track of those things. Does the LGX feel any different then the CX? There is an area right behind the gland that stays very hard and doesn't go down when I deflate. Is that normal?
I am a little disappointed, when inflated, in the length (about 1 inch shorter than the real erection) and the flatness of the penis. It is very hard...more so than a natural erection.

72 years young. RALP on 10/2009. Some ED before surgery. Complete ED after. Pills and injections don't work. Pump works, but hate it. Diagnosed with venous leak. Don't like giving up things of my youth so going for implant.
Re: I don't know what device the surgeon implanted...
sorry to hear they have not been able to inform you which one you got, I would almost expect them to know than. I know the LXG has hard tips as I was able to examine that model and a titan before I decided on the lgx. Some of the guys have called a customer rep at AMS and got the info on what was inplanted. They apparently keep complete records of the model, the lenght and which rear extenders were implanted. Hopefully someone will chime in with the contact info for you.
Give the lenght issue some time.

age 74 married, Robotic RP Dec.2009. Implanted Jan 2011 with AMS 700LGX and AMS 800 AUS. (AMS 1500). IPP failed March 2018 , leak. Planning an AUS revision (total replacement) in 2018, now I need the IPP too.

I recommend contacting the hospital or surgery center where your procedure was performed and requesting a copy of your operative report. I believe the HIPAA law gives you access to ALL of your medical records. The notion that the physician doesn't know which device he implant seems ridiculous to me.

How could he not know??? The LGX cylinders are white and the CX cylinders are brown.
Re: I don't know what device the surgeon implanted...
The hard little cylinders at the glans are there to support the implant as it is pushed against something during sex, to prevent erosion and some of those ugly pictures from implants gone wrong.
Keep pumping, you will find your little buddy will keep growing more and more. Most implants that are AMS today are LGX, unless there is a particular reason the CS is a better choice.
