graphic: your tips extend into glans?

Postby dmikesaw » Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:06 am

Do your implant tips extend well into the glans (as they clearly do in this graphic illustration)? By that, I mean do your tips go forward of the base/widest part of the head. For some men (like me and like the one shown on the graphic illustration), the normal glans/head (viewed from the side) is at a 45 degree angle to the shaft, while with other men it appears to be closer to a 90 degree angle (again, viewed from the side). Either way, my question is do your tips extend beyond the corona/ring and into the glans/head?

No, the tips of my cylinders stop short of the glans!
The left one is about 1/2" short and the right is about 1/4" inch short. This resulted in a FLOPPY HEAD.
I plan to see another URO

While I have the malleable semi-ridged implant I can say that the tips are about 1/4" inch from the very tip of my penis. Yes they exstend into the glans head. I can feel them 24/7
everytime I take leak they are right there. No pain at all. Actually they are very comfortable and a pleasure to hold on to according to my wife! :D

I have a Titan OTR, and my implant extends well into the glans. About 1/4"-1/2" from the absolute tip but the distance from tip varies depending on how engorged the glans are. If the glans aren't engorged then it's 1/4" (possibly less) from the absolute tip.

Hope that helps...

Thanks for the input; that is encouraging. Mine stop short of the glans(especially the left one), but maybe they will expand over time. Anyone else care to chime in here? Were you tips short of the glans right after surgery, but now extend into the glans? Or were your tips already in the glans right after surgery?

Pumping regularly will help seat them. Mine are well into the glans.

I completely agree with Dave. You MUST keep "working it" to get those tips into the GLANS, if they're not already happily seated there. "Working it" also keeps the scar tissue from taking over and keeps those canals nice and open. Plus, once you're used to "working it", it feels really really good! Some implant chambers will not stay seated in the GLANS because of the simple fact that the particular man's GLANS is not big enough (as was my case). So I keep "working it" and "working it" (notice the pattern here) and my canals remain open and work beautifully with the LGX.

Many implanted guys who have NOT had prostate surgery stand the likely chance that their blood flow will come back to the corpora spongiosum and the GLANS after implant surgery. This will change the odd post-implant Oval shape into a nice rounded penis once again. This happened to me 6 months after becoming bionic and I hear many differing time frames from other bionic guys here at FT. One day, I suddenly realized that things were feeling better than ever. When I investigated, I realized that the blood flow was back and everything had perked up. So yes, I now have somewhat normal morning woodies. All this after being ED for about 30 years. Life is SO MUCH BETTER now.

Best of luck to all you newly bionic and soon-to-be-bionic men!

My tips don't extend into the glans until I'm inflated, and then they do. Are you guys saying they will extend into the glans and stay there after I "work" it daily? I have an LGX model, installed on 9/01/11.... and I do inflate every day.

No, the tip of the cylinders do NOT extend my glans. The result is floppy head and the inability to push into my wife (who is rather small) for intercourse. I'm having revision surgery on December 22. The doctor will hollow out my head somewhat in a procedure called corporoplasty.
