It sounds like there are two different topics here:
Medh, If you're not getting hard and not able to squeeze the bulb it won't force any saline into the cylinders. One way or another you need to squeeze the bulb. Did you have any success using two hands as jdavid suggested?
abob, it sounds like you're getting hard but it stays at 4 oclock. You should read the thread "Angle of Erection" for some valuable information.
I've experienced both problems in the past. You both have work to do.

Guys
Welcome. What you are experiencing is completely normal. You are just at the begining. Initial pumping is a bear. I would get 3-4 then rock hard. You think it will never loosen up, but it does. I been cycling for almost 4 mos now. I can get 12-15 good pumps then some partials. I wait and get 6-7 good ones. Then it gets hard. Wait ten minutes and able to get more in. I still wish i could have a nice soft pump. It takes time. Even partial pumps are progress. Get a comfortable position. Sit, stand or lay down. One hand or two. Squeeze. Even slight amount of saline helps. Before you know it 2-3 weeks goes by and you will be able to pump easier and may have adequate erection for intercourse. I also have ams700lgx and the damn pumps are rock hard at first. Be patient. You will make slow progress. Pump agressively and you will get hard and notice a difference in the size/quality of your erection. Good luck !

That is exactly what I’ve started doing and I notice slight discomfort immediately after some of those partial pumps which I am guessing is the scar tissue. Thanks a bunch for your encouraging words.
Implanted by Dr Kramer in Baltimore on Sept 6, 2017 with an AMS CX 24cm and no extenders. Did pills off and on for 8 or 10 years then transitioned to bimix for a year until it became inconsistent like the pills.
Re: Cannot pump my AMS LGX to a decent erection
I really appreciate all the great advice and encouragement. I had better results this morning doing the following. I'm not there yet, but promising:
1 - Completely deflating the device. It was interesting how long it kept "wizzing" as I pressed harder on that deflate butting. I had to pretty much to trap the top part of the pump with the index finger on the back of the top part and the thump pressing hard on the deflate button. This is all while holding the pump still with the other hand. All while standing up to make sure that the pump dropped to the lower position possible in the scortum. I tried to mimic the technique in the AMS instruction card.
2 - Now comes the hard part, I kept the pump down in the scrotum with the left hand, then placed the index and ring fingers (from the right hand) behind the pump, then pressed swiftly with every force using my thumb, and behold, I got the a good "pop". The inflation is still difficult, but at least I'm getting the bloody pump going. For now, I got like 60% erection, but I could not get any further.
In my case, I believe that the key difference is to keep the pump as low as possible in the scrotum. Not sure why that made a difference, but I'm guessing that it might have straightened the tubes. Initially, I was trapping the pump close to my groin, now, I'm trapping it against the scortum bottom skin.
Just curious, does the AMS pumps are the only ones that are so hard to use? Does the Titans have the same issues?
Anyway, I'll keep trying and will let you know. Thanks again, you guys are awesome.

Re: Cannot pump my AMS LGX to a decent erection
A great update: I followed Donnie's stretching exercises routines. Big thank you to him. I know he said to do it at 5 months after healing, but I was so impatient and started it right away. I can pump until I get the pain which means that I'm stretching. I think I might be at 70 or 80% now, and looks promising. The angle is still at 4 O'clock so I have my erect cock strapped. Now I feel the cylinders like 3/4 the ways inside the glans/ Will keep doing it and update. Again, thanks gentlemen for your great support.
Re: Cannot pump my AMS LGX to a decent erection
I was just gonna post this question.
Im at 7weeks ,but cant pump too much the bulb gets hard as a rock.
My doctor told
me he installed a 22cm . Thats about 8inches im lucky if i have 5right not.my girth is not up to what it was prior either.
So any ideas how to manage and pump it to full strenght please.
Or how long until bulb is soft to pump it more.

One of the things that helped me was pumping it up in a hot shower. It seemed to soften or loosen the bulb a bit. I am near 3 years out and my pump is still a bit stiff. But I do get a great erection with more girth then before my implant. Good luck guys.

So the 22cm includes what is inside the body. That translates to about 1/3. So the other 2/3 will probably be a more accurate measure. Also, initial pumping is very hard. The pump is like a rock at the begining. I also have the Lgx. Im going on 5 mos post op. Definately gets easier with time. Be patient. Pump until you feel discomfort and hold it 30-60 minutes a day to make gains. It will stretch. Dont get discouraged. It will happen but it takes time.

Re: Cannot pump my AMS LGX to a decent erection
Hello AMSMan,
I started these stretching routines and it started to seem promising:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7754
Regarding the length/girth: I just started cycling after 3 weeks post op, I was implanted with LGX (21cm + 4 cm RTE, total of 25 cm or 10 inches). When pumping up to 60/70%, I get penis length 12.5 cm (5 inches), which is half of the implant length. I also lost a good 3/4" inches of girth. Hopefully I could regain some of that as I continue cycling.
