As someone else said my heart aches for you, we've all been there and me being younger than you I know it all too well at this age. I haven't read the other posts because I don't want to lose my train of thought so I might reiterate but I understand what you mean by the feeling of being horny and the desire for sex that comes with it, and I have to say it probably sucks even more because when I first got diagnosed I was having the same thoughts, but over the months and years now I've completely lost my ability to keep an erection and all the beautiful sensations that come with it and now I have absolutely no drive for sex. For me it's an easy decision, but I think, and I haven't had the implant yet, but I think a lot of those feelings are connected with ones ability to have sex, I have a lot faith that the implant will feel like the penis I was born with and if not then just as good and I embrace all the differences because I'll be happy to have it. This is just a perspective I'm sharing to maybe help you make your decision. I would say if you trust your surgeon it helps a lot, if your a man of religious background I say pray about it. Finally, sometimes change is good, I have a feeling a lot of those feelings will be the same, but if they're not I'm sure the new ones will be just as great and if not better. To me it's a win win, hope this helps

Man.... If you wanna fuck and can't...... and this is your only way to correct it.... You bite the bullet and go for it..... My first implant was really scary and, even though it was bent, I could fuck again! And fucking again was so great that, as necessary, I've had two more implants..... One to correct that one and another in March when to 2nd went flat.

At this point I have cold head, some loss of sensation but....... I CAN FUCK......

Dude.... IT'S WORTH IT! GO FOR IT!

If you can handle it you might consider taking advantage of the show and tell features offered. Perhaps some kind soul in your area would answer some of your questions in a more personal setting. If you were in my area I know I would surely avail myself.

I do know that this would be a huge decision for someone as young as you. I was 78 when I had my implant surgery and hardly a day goes by that I don't kick myself for not doing a long time ago.

I guess if I were in your shoes I might want to find out more myself.

My heart aches for the doc. To cancel an operation just one day prior to the date isn‘t very polite. Leave it as is it, to fuck a girl doesn‘t seem to be one of your top priorities.

The worst thing you can do is look to please others with this. It has to be right in your head first. Just as there are physical hurdles to over come there are mental. The doctors and anyone else will get over indecision on your part easier than you can. One thing you can be sure of is that your condition will not get better. Being young as you are there may be improvements in treatment in your lifetime but right now this is the only option.

I really get where you are coming from. I am older, 54, but I can imagine looking out over the years and wondering what that is going to be like. I will say this however, if you have ever decided to not have sex because you were worried about your performance, then you are missing out on life and should really consider a viable option.

Personally, I don't think injections are viable long term. If pills work, that is sustainable to me. But if they don't, you are letting fear get the better of you. I was implanted August 23rd. I had sex 3 weeks later. It was a bit painful, but has gotten better ever since. This past week, the last of my swelling in my scrotom is subsiding and the numb spot on the underside of my shaft, at the scrotom has come back to life. But even before that, the sensations were SO much better than what had been happening as my erections lost their strength. Also, the feeling of horniness, it does not go away. My penis still responds and I can get nearly 4 inches of my 6 plus on my own. (This does not happen with everyone). But even so, after spending a few weeks with the implant, pumping in front of people is so much less intrusive than I thought it would be. I stroke my penis, play with my balls and I have a hard on. Also, I got over having my scrotum touched. One person asked me about it, I was honest, they couldn't have cared less. Now, I know that won't always happen, but I just don't care. I can have great sex and satisfy my partner so much better than before. Trust me, all the worries about losing my natural ability (when in fact I was anyway) are just irrational.

Decide not to do the procedure for any of the right reasons, but fear of losing your sexuality is not one of them. In fact, you will get it back. Seriously, I can't even imagine being in my 20's, in the situation you are in, and not wanting to make sure I have a hardon when I need it. I literally am masturbating 3 plus times a day because i am so horny and I know it will be good, let alone sex with others.

lib- I can understand your anxiety and pain. I had a penile injury at a young age which led to intermittent ed which only got worse, the older I got. I was terrified at the thought of an implant. Instead I went with band-aids. Shrinks, pills, gurus, meditation, sex workshops, massage, pumps, shots, you name it - anything but the implant. Sex was always an ordeal, uncertain, and ultimately anything but gratifying, in fact over the years I actually started to dread it. That was when I decided to seriously consider the implant. Your question about sensations is interesting: I had prostate surgery and I no longer ejaculate which is a change. Physical, mental and sensational changes occur as we get older. Nothing stays the same and thankfully, I am not the same person I was in my 20's. I see and feel many things differently. Likewise, some sensations are different with an implant, some are less, some are better. I had sex tonight with my wife. She was taking a long time to reach orgasm and indicated she was concerned about me. I said " no worries babe, I can last as long as you want". 8 months out now and you'd have to wipe the grin off my face. ;)
