Question: After your revision, did you have to keep the implant partially inflated for weeks like when you got your initial implant?
Yes for a couple of weeks total , but I am retired so not a problem. When I went through BWI Airport 3 days after surgery I was patted down by a female and 2 male agents and I had told them all that I just had Penile surgery , Then I offered to pull it out and let them see it, they declined and said go get on your plane. Ha Ha, so much for our US Government employees

LOL! That’s funny!

Like williamb, I am one of the others that have had issues with his work but have read on here from people that said he did a good job. I lost at least 2" but got zero sympathy and then had some mechanical problems needing revision.
YES !! I should have gone to Kramer but chose another highly rated Houston Dr. His 'bed-side' attitude and personality was so different to the original, was willing to talk, and answer all of my revision questions both pre and post surgery. Post surgery was a lot simpler, less pain and much faster recovery despite changing the whole unit from AMS to Coloplast.
The 'only' reason I say I wish I had gone to Kramer is that the revision did not recover my missing inches. LONG story but I personally suspect that its related to not being circumcised and the Drs not being aware that my original natural erection projected way beyond the foreskin!
BOTTOM LINE is that I agree with williamb that revision surgery was far simpler, less painful, with faster recovery and would not hesitate if needed again.
NOTE: I am retired so :-
- I didn't have to worry about walking around by a stiffie, but again thinking back, using good support briefs, things settled down faster after revision.
- Cost wise, I have Medicare with Gap Insurance, meaning that once I had paid the annual $150 deductible, both surgeries were free to me.
Cheers (another) Dave

Larry - Just like Williamb:--
I choose not to post the doctors names on the forum for several reasons, 1- Maybe this is not his normal quality of work. 2- even though I know of 2 others that have had issues with his work , I have also talked to people that sing praises for this doctor. 3- I am willing to talk or PM with anyone that wants to discuss this with me . During my career I did jobs that had great results , about perfect but I also did jobs that had extremely poor results for a variety of reasons, some beyond my control. I do not know why I ended up with poor results, maybe it had something to do with my body maybe not, maybe he needs more training or whatever but it happened. If his surgeries before and after me were great then what? I just choose not to plaster his name on here but I am willing to talk to people considering surgery in Houston.

William and Dave,

Thank you both for your helpful feedback.

I had my revision done yesterday and my experience has been like yours. I'm in far less pain this time. In fact, without taking a single pill, I threw away the oxycodone that my surgeon prescribed for pain.

I feel a small but tolerable amount of discomfort when I walk, so I may need to take ibuprofen occasionally over the next few days.

The doc said he was able to upsize my implant by 1". Time will tell if that translates into a longer penis. I'm only partially inflated and wearing a bandage, but it appears to be the same size so far.

He said my bend was "pretty bad," so he's unsure if it will ever be perfectly straight, but swapping the LGX for a Titan should help make it straighter.

Also, like you both, I didn't mention the doc's name in my profile, because I think it would be unfair for people to judge his work based on my initial outcome, because my situation was so unique.

My penis shrank after I had a prostatectomy and shrank more when I started taking trimix injections. As a result, I assume it was difficult for him to appreciate how much my penis was bent when he performed my initial implant surgery because it was so small. After using the LGX for 10 mos., the size increased by roughly 2" (as he predicted). That made the bend more noticeable.

To his credit, he agreed that a Titan would be best without being defensive when I went in for a follow-up visit a few weeks ago.

That's great news Tony - Congratulations and I'm sure you will be able to put it to use very soon without any discomfort.
I find the Titan VERY easy to inflate & deflate.
Just out of interest, #1 had been AMS. The Revision Dr gave me the choice even though I think he normally uses Titan.
As you can see I am not as young as some on here, so when I discussed it with the wife we agreed that although length was important we liked the idea that the Titan allows much more Girth Growth than AMS which was good for her. Hopefully you will notice that benefit too.
Another interesting point is that I had strong upward curvature pre-surgery. Now it is dead straight and I kinda miss the bend, so try not to get too upset if it doesn't completely straighten
Cheers

Larry,

I am guilty as charged on this, too. However, palace01 has his rationale, and I have mine, too. Most of the people that have been in such situation, specifically with less than pleasant experiences with surgeons that are considered idols around here, are less interested on getting their experiences disclosed knowing that there is an almost certain chance that they will become a punching bag for the fanboys. Or worst, the punching bag of the many fake screennames used by people to misrepresent themselves as patients, when they really are surgeons.

I recently had my revision, and I on purpose stoped posting here between the previous surgery and this one, since I felt that keeping my story under the radar will avoid the possibility of getting sabotaged, and not being able to get my revision. Some may see this as an extreme measure, but after dealing with a surgeon that used my medical records to document “cover-his-ass” twisted story, and furthermore write lies that can be debunked easily, I did not want to risk my chances.

Now that the revision is over, once I get back home, I will open a thread to share my experiences, specially this successful one, so people that are going through the revision steps can benefit from it.

Yeah, I fully understand, it's just frustrating that these piss-poor surgeons go on fucking people up and all we do is read about the poor ole next guy.

I wondered why I hadn't seen you in a while. While you were gone, a few of the nasty, domineering members, were shown the door. :)

Well, now you know why I was not posting. I had already my revision, developed such a professional and honest relationship with Dr. Eid, so my fear of a potential sabotage is no longer a burden on my shoulders.

I am happy to be back, and find the discussion way less charged. So, ridding some of instigators is very obvious, so the main purpose of the forum (helping, not judging each other) is pretty palpable.
