Re: 18 +3 vs 21 without RTE?
The 21cm LGX and the 24cm CX are special orders, based on my recollection. Hence, they are not readily available unless pre-ordered.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.
Re: 18 +3 vs 21 without RTE?
From a Merrix one year update post that I think is relevant:
"It is a known fact that AMS models have an issue with short effective length of tubing. This shortcoming basically gives a trade-off between optimal pump positioning (requiring use of RTEs) or perfect erection quality (no RTEs)."
Watching Dr. Kramer videos it seems he often uses infrapubic tubing kits (longer tubing) when implanting AMS devices to avoid RTEs.

Peyronie's: 6 months, indents cause loss of 0.5 inches of girth, fibrosis growing, caused ED.
ED: 10mg Cialis daily, getting headaches, not interested in VED/injections.
Considering implant to avoid a lifetime of cialis and to correct deformity.

But, that practice in itself, creates an opposite short coming, plus other issues: excessive tubing, plus two extra crimping joins, that during the healing process requires the body to produce extra scarring tissue, rendering an uncomfortable situation.

My AMS Rep said only 3cm of my 18 cm implant is in inflatable. My 5.5 in RTEs gives me a nice 7" erection. Absolutely no hinge just an incredible hard erection.

I think you have it backwards. 3 cm is 30 mm which is just over an inch

I tried to change the post. Only 3cm don't inflate of 18 cm implant.

With the correction you noted, then:
You have 5.5 cm RTE + 3 cm integral rear tip + 15 cm inflatable tubes. 23.5 cm implant
Cool.

The rte are non inflatable 8.5 cm equal 85 mm about 3.5 inches nonr inflatable . 15 cm = 150 mm = 6 inches inflatable. Plus what ever the ams expands
