Hey guys! im new to this fourm. Im only 26 and been suffering from ED for awhile. Its a long story but here we go. Starting back when i was 20 while having rough sex with a women and she fell awkwardly and the penis went with her. During that i felt a pop at the base of my penis and ever since then my erections were never the same. It became more difficult to get aroused and more difficult to stay hard. I realized my erection angle was altered after this incident and i was having pain at the base of my penis. Went to several urologists saying everything is okay and that it is all in my head. Even went to Dr. Levine in Chicago and told me the same thing. Doppler came back good. But I know there was a dramatic difference in my erection quality. So I went to get an opinion in London by Dr. David Ralph and he performed suspensasory ligament repair surgery. This procedure corrected my angle but im still having problems getting a good erection and possibly even made things worse. Pills are inconsistent and injections work better but these methods are not spontaneous.. It is impossible for me to get an erection without this methods and if i do it will only last for about a 30 sec-1 min before it goes back down. It takes major effort and it shouldnt be like this. I feel my nerves are the culprit of this because i do feel loss of sensation.
Guys im young and and i just want my life back. I dont want to worry about getting an erection or having to plan for one. I just want to be free. And i think the implant can be the answer but im soo scared of it. Im worried about the size after, angle, and just scared of what women will think of it.
It sucks because I am a good looking kid, and I havent been able to be myself and go to out there and be with women. I have turned down beautiful women and I cant take it anymore. Please guys any advice ? Can an implant be the answer for me? Anything would be helpful. Thank you. God Bless

There is a member of FT dusty ox, who is 30 and single, you may want to search his posts. There are many young members thinking of getting or have implants. Search around, majority are open and try to help.
Sorry, autocorrect fucked up. That members name is dustyknox.

It’s a shame no one has replied to this yet.
I’m in a similar situation though I’ve been dealing with this in some form or another for over 10 years now. I too have turned down many hot women and I’m also blessed to be considered by most as ‘good looking’. But this is a true curse. I’m 34 now.
I think you’re being somewhat hard on yourself. I mean, 30seconds to a minute untouched - I’d kill for that. I would go so far as to say most men last in that timeframe before they start to go down. That’s normal. You’re not 13 anymore plus the fact it’s such a thing for you now - you do realise you’re getting stressed about it just thinking about it. That’s activating your sympathetic nervous response and sending boner killing hormones everywhere. So I’d say you’re healthy man.
I’ve been told I’m healthy too, physically, 2 dopplers say so. But I’m so mentally far gone. I can’t maintain an erection longer than 10-20 seconds without stimulation. I can manage it while asleep, I’ve felt it during half sleep. But it’s rare. Point is, while the plumbing might be okay, my mindset is beyond fucked and I am THIS close to just going to Dr Ralph and asking for an implant.
You say you saw him, how was your experience with him?
I’m fed up of the fear, the pill planning, the loss of confidence, the affect on and erosion of my personality. An implant, if done properly and cycled effectively would get me through the rest of my youth, enable me to lock down a good woman, have a tonne of incredible, fear-free sex and free my MIND of this mental prison. I would be liberated. And being a pragmatic person, the benefits are beginning to seriously outweigh the shortening and mechanics that represent the downsides.
Point I’m making is, I get it Man and I get you! You’re not there yet though man. You need to evaluate your expectations and also, perhaps seek some counselling? But if you know in your heart your dick just won’t perform, then implantation isn’t and shouldn’t be seen as such a scary option.
In my opinion - it’s life saving.
Feel free to DM me if you wanna chat.

Large,
I'm an old guy -- 66, almost -- so can literally only imagine what it is like to be where you are. Knowing what I know now about how fast life goes by, and how effective an implant can be, I think I'd go for it.
The medical profession sees this as a last resort, and I get that. Always try to solve a medical problem with the least drastic/invasive therapy first. The flip side has been discussed by many guys on this site. That is, why waste what are supposed to be the best years of your life (sex-wise, anyway) dealing unsuccessfully with ED, and having to bear all the very real and painful mental and emotional side effects that come with ED? These side effects can contribute to a self-fulfilling circle of ED/depression/anxiety/ED, etc.
I know it's not the same, but I can tell you I wish I hadn't waited so long. And that's a recurring theme here on FT. There are definitely downsides to an implant, and potentially (though very rare) significant ones. But the upside is pretty great. I just had revision surgery 4 months after my implant, and I would still do it all over again, even if I knew before hand that it would take 2 surgeries.
Wish you the best in your journey. Feel free to PM if you'd like.

Sounds like you've been through all the typical remedies & they're not working for you. If in fact you can't stay hard w/ either pills or injections, I'd strongly recommend an implant if your insurance will cover it or you have the money to cover the procedure out of pocket. One common thing you'll read here on FT is that almost everybody who's gone the implant route wishes they would've had the procedure earlier...including yours truly...best health move I've ever made by a longshot...and certainly the most fun!!!

Re: Young guy considering implant. BUT scared to death.
livinglarge,
I feel for you my friend. I developed severe ED at the relatively young age of 30 so I can relate to being young and vibrant and then losing your sexual abilities. It sucks. I am thankful I was married and have a very understanding wife who stuck with me for 30 years until my recent implant.
I pray you find a solution soon and don't have to wait like I did. If the idea of an implant is scaring you, you may not be ready to make that commitment. I think most guys here, regardless of their age, who now have an implant, went from the stage you are at to an realization there was nothing to lose and everything to gain by following through with the surgery.
In my case my penis was no longer responding to any other treatment so I was left facing the fact I would never have any sexual pleasure again or I had to take a drastic step. When you get to that point, you will know it is time and at least for me the scary part went away and a peaceful calm took its place.
Now I am three months post-op and I have that missing link back...I can make love to my wife, or feel the pleasure of jacking myself off. It's like I am a teenager again. It's incredible.
Someone else mentioned Dustyknox. I hope you will read his post to learn about his journey. It may be just what you need to move forward. His story is inspiring. Best wishes and keep reaching out to us here if you need questions answered or someone to bounce ideas off of. That is why we are all here.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
Re: Young guy considering implant. BUT scared to death.
I can only add a repeat really of others comments here. The decision to go for an implant is of course after ALL other routes have been exhausted. There's no way back. However after 20+ years of ED and all the physical and mental strains it adds to what for most people is a stressful life in the first place (everyone's running around like they are possessed most days) you sort of know when your time is right had this type of solution been available years back I most certainly woulld have seriously considered it. ED is a drain on your very existence. Removed from this constant (for me it was evenly minute of every day) and life can begin again. If the result doesn't give you the same natural erections and you are shocked or disappointed then in my view you weren't ready and should o more homework. Especially talking to others who have had this procedure. My experiences have been that nearly all this on FT wish to help, coach, provide infor and support. Take advantage.
Now Implanted 9/12/17. 52 years old with ED for over 20 years. Tried all the pills and injections. Update. Implanted with Titan 22 + 1. by DR Ralph Dec 9th London. Now in recovery and at 3 months feeling the journey was worth the pain.

Re: Young guy considering implant. BUT scared to death.
Thank you everyone for the helpful replies. I truly appreciate your help. I mean my problem is not a blow flow problem. I can get morning erections once in awhile. So something is working to a degree. But I Know that my nerves to in my penis are not functioning to their full potential. The physical changes to my penis are there and trust me counseling is not the answer.
And if I decide to indeed get the implant I know there is no going back. That's why its a little nerve racking. And if i do precede with it, i will probably go with a top surgeon like Eid or Kramer.
I have many questions to ask and alot to learn on this form. I know most of you guys are open to talk and im grateful for that. So i will do my homework and i might be a little annoying on this forum haha but I want the truth of the pros and cons.
Thank you all. God bless

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"
Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"
Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)
Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."
Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)
If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

Now that the moderator business is done, let me weigh in on this. My problems started when I was 3 years old so I really get it. I have only been implanted for two weeks (this time). I was implanted for a month back in March but lost it due to infection. All of the implanted members here either say they love it and wish they had done it years ago or they are young and lovin it or hated it because of this and that but after giving it some time, joined the gang of lovin it. Take the plunge. Do it while you are single so that when you find a honey that you wanna use it on, you will be ready to use your new equipment.
