Postby Hereiam » Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:17 pm

Hi
I wanted to know what are the common pre-operative implant tests which the surgeon sends you to do before the surgery
I am thinking of going with Dr. Eid

Thank so much in advance

I had a Penile Doppler test to determine the cause of my ED.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

For Dr. Eid is EKG and blood work.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

It depends on your health situation as a mininum a blood test either a Chem 7, 14, 21. If your are diabetic the will include A1C. If you have any type of heart problem EKG. All the test can be no older than 30 days. At your preop appointment they will verify they have everything, tell what meds to stop and which ones to contiue. They will also give you instructions for the night before , day of also any 9ther special instructions

Of course thise testswould be run before just about ANY surgery, and if upyou have other medupical hoistiry, liue sleep apnea, the anesthesiologist might have something to add, too.

I had such for a shoulder surgery.

Then there may be tests specifically to determine the E.D. issues which I thiuht was the original poster's question? Doppler, Nocturnal tumescence, response to injectable medication, stuff like that.

My surgeons (interviewed four of them) did no tests but a blood test(for Testosterone, I gathered). Each wanted to schedule surgery with only a clinical history taken entirely from my reported symptoms and a physical (mostly just visual) exam

History:.
68-69 yrs old, tyoe II diabetic, marginally elevated blood pressure (maybe) and self-reported graphicall described decades long slowly worsening inability to maintain erections

The orginal question could be interpreted either way. I would think preop would be just be surgery. If however he is talking digonistic test there are serveral, but he said he already said he had leakage
