Quincy's list of questions for the implant doctor

Edit: This is an exhaustive list of things I thought about asking my potential doctors. Learning about implants in general before asking about these things is a good idea.

Some of the questions are more important than others, and some may be more immediate than others (e.g. post op questions can be asked later). It's a really long list, mostly compiled from other posts here. Use what you want.

Here's the list:

Will I lose feelings of arousal?
Will I lose sensation?
Will the glans still engorge?
Will I lose anything else?

How many penile implants have you performed in total?
How many do you perform per month?
Is it possible to get referrals to previous patients or is there any other way to get feedback from previous implant patients?
What is your overall infection rate for penile implants?

Would you recommend a VED stretching program, and if so, on what kind of schedule and for how long before surgery?
Would use of a penis extender before surgery be helpful to improve final penile length?
Are there other things I should do before the implant to prepare?

Will you implant AMS or Coloplast and why?
Which version of the implant of choice will be used and why? Will it have anti-bacterial impregnation? (e.g. Inhibizone)
It appears that the pump should be low and to the rear in the scrotum. Is this true? If true, how do we ensure this?
What size cylinders will be used and why? When will that decision be made?
How do you measure what size cylinder to use?
Will I lose length or girth flaccid? Erect?
Penoscrotal or infrapubic and why?
Will I lose sensitivity? How do you make sure the dorsal nerve is not damaged?
Is there any chance of the head being floppy after the recovery? How do you make sure that won't happen?
Do you know of Perito's minimally invasive approach and/or Eid's "no touch" approach? Do you use similar methods?
What protocol is used for infection prevention?
Is there anything I can do before the surgery to help reduce the chance of infection?

What is post op procedure like?
Will I need pain medications? What and for how long?
What should I do at home to help ease the pain? Icing? Hot baths?
What is the schedule for follow up?
When will we activate? Would it be helpful to take pain meds before activaton?
What schedule will I want to use for period inflation and when should it start?
How long will it likely be before I can resume normal physical exercise, such a sports?
How long will it likely be before i can resume masturbation?
How long will it likely be before I can resume normal sex?

Are there any other questions I should be asking?
