Everything is set, I'm just deciding which doctor to schedule my surgery with. I'm soooo ready for this that I wish my surgery was tomorrow. I shouldn't wait much longer. My lady may hurt herself masturbating 3-4 times a day
I'm between three surgeons:
1- Dr. Kramer is local. There are bionic brothers (BBs) here who are happy with him and yet others who are not so. I'm on the fence with him.
2- Spoke with Dr. Eid's office to get info and setup a visit. He's a few hours away and I have to go there solo; hotel and a few days stay....and everything. He doesn't accept my insurance which means I probably have to pay $7-8000 deductible. I've read glowing complements of Dr. Eid. I don't think I've read anything negative.
3- Dr. Burnett, a Urologist at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, with 35 years of experience, done research and writing on ED for many years, been involved with the research that led to Viagra.... Most importantly, according to him and his nurse, he's done "1000s" of implants. I'm leaning towards him. He's local, insurance covers all, known him prior to the implant decision, more years of experience.... Yesterday I called his nurse and asked her how many implants REALLY he does. She looked at his schedule and said he has 5 scheduled between March 20-27! Knowing that surgeons only do surgery couple of days a week, that sounds like a good average (may be not).
Now my question to my brothers:
If doctor A and B both have done 1000s of implants and still do an average of the same numbers a week, what sets them apart? What do I need to look for other than just a total number of implants done? Would both be as qualified?
Judging by many Youtube videos I've seen, the procedure is straight forward. I've made the choice of implant and Dr. Burnett is fine with it. It appears to me that correct measurements is a critical part of the procedure. So what else is there for me to consider in choosing my surgeon?
Need your help. My lady needs my bionic dick sooo badly

Re: Need help to make the final decision
Infection while making up less than half of reoperations is really bad for this procedure. So I would want to know that. Eid I believe is 0.5%. Kramer has advertised 1 in over 500. And of course both state they are aggressive in measurement. I am sure there are other very good doctors that will do aggressive measurement and have low infection rates.
Good luck with your decisions. It looks to me that you have 3 really good surgeons to choose from.

Re: Need help to make the final decision
One question to ask yourself is which type of implant are you leaning towards, AMS or Coloplast. If your think Coloplast, I would go with Eid, hands down even if there was out of pocket expense, assuming that will not be a hardship for you. I know many on here believe the implant type should be your doctor's decision, I disagree. Depending on your anatomy you may be better suited for one over the other. Clearly your doctor should weigh in on this subject and should educate you on the benefits of each, but my feeling is this should be your choice in the end.
Good Luck.

Re: Need help to make the final decision
Given the three options I would go C. You will have follow up visits. The preop and surgery is just the start. Also your local Dr can treat all of your men health/ uraniary issues if there are any.
Re: Need help to make the final decision
The questions I always ask the doctors prior to making that decision is
1. How many of these surgeries have you done? To me this is the most important to ask.
2. If you were to have this surgery, who would you use?
3. How long does this surgery take you? I ask this question because the doctors who usually do it the fastest are almost always the ones who have done the most and repetition to me is very important, it shows confidence and experience.
Let me know what you decide

Re: Need help to make the final decision
Thanks brothers. Very helpful. Infection and actual time of procedure, I had not thought about. Choice of implant is Coloplast. BTW, I did ask Dr. Burnett if he had to get the implant who'd he go to. He was upfront and honest. He named a few doctors in different states AND he did name Eid. Surprisingly he did not say Kramer who's local to him. Perhaps, that would've encourage the patient to go a few blocks away and see the competition.
If Eid was local that would definitely be the choice. Deductible is not an issue. Other considerations and convenience plays into the decision.
Although I don't want to seem rushing too much, but Burnett understood my schedule and is willing to try to accommodate me sooner than later. Of course, I haven't talked to Dr. Eid to get any questions answered and see when he can schedule me. Like all of you, best doctor and best result is the goal. I met my lady friend AFTER my ED and she's stayed with me through these two years and testing with different meds. I can't/shouldn't mess this up. It's not like she'd seen me before ED.
Again, thanks for the feedback.

Re: Need help to make the final decision
He may have been trained by Eid. Outside of FT, Eid is much more respected and recognized. My new local urologist, which does a lot of implants, told me he is the gold standard.

Re: Need help to make the final decision
Good luck wth your decision. Follow your instincts and you are usually right. I asked the same question about the surgery and who they would use, but I asked my general practitioner. This way I was sure to get an unbiased answer. It worked out well for me. I am happy with my results. Although we all heal different, I was on my feet in no time with very little swelling, and my surgeon is always quick to respond back with answers to any concerns that I may have. Good luck with your surgery!
From Long Island. Implanted by Andrew Kramer in Baltimore with AMS Lgx 700 on 1/3/18. Peyronies led to ED and some size loss. Tried viagra, cila is to no avail. Did my research here and other sights then made the jump.
Re: Need help to make the final decision
Plummer, he may have, but age wise he seems older than Eid.
I don't mean to jump on another subject middle of this. How long after the surgery you start your cycling? Do you stay completely inactive (sex and cycling) for the typical 6-7 weeks?
