Hi Guys,
My doctor told my wife and I before we went into this that it was a joint partnership and boy was he right! She has made all this possible with daily pulling my pump down, helping me break up the scar tissue, inflating me daily etc... My question is, at about what point will I be able to inflate and deflate myself? I am 4 weeks post op currently.
Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to FT!
My problem was/is quite different than yours. I couldn't deflate for almost 5 weeks, and I haven't got my wife to pump me yet. Why is it you feel you can't pump it yourself?

Same question - why can't you operate the pump yourself? My wife has never helped me with the pump, and it never occurred to me to ask her to.

The next day out of surgery I was playing was playing with it. Depends on you.

so your wife does everything for you? WOW. I'm guessing, with that type of service, that you may never do it yourself.

No....she didn't do everything for me. We went into this as a team...and my doc had said it would be too painful for me to do the needed work to keep pulling the pump down and kneading the scar tissue to break it up for the first few weeks. But just so you know, everything is working fine now and I've turned into quite the one hand wonder.
