I’m absolutely sure there’s a thread on here somewhere dedicated to young men with implants - I know of a few ‘my journey’ threads but I thought I could call upon the young men in here who have been implanted.
I would specifically like to know about the mental journey you went through to reach this massive decision and how your lives have changed post-implant, for better or for worse.
I only ask for a young man’s opinion on this one because I’m 34 myself, single and facing monumental decisions that the older folk amongst us might not be able to address as aptly as a younger man.
I hope to hear from some of you!
And best wishes to Star_of_pramen today, as I believe undergoing surgery and joining the in-crowd!

37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.
Re: Young Men w/ Implants Thread
I did not have surgery yet, though my phone consultation with eid is set for monday, as well as hopefully undergoing surgery in july.
I actually thought about the same, making a thread for young guys where you summarize all the benefitial thread, like the ones from merrix, dustyknox, minesota and so on. Maybe with highlighting some posts which address some specific issues (e.g. activity in sports, hook up s with an implant and so on...)

Exactly! So, all input and experiential content welcome!!
Mr Skin, what’s your history/problem?

Re: Young Men w/ Implants Thread
I was implanted at age 35 and I’m happy. I have venous leak and it was my only real choice.

Mental journey.. was downhill from my 20's failing at sex with different partners multiple times. Was just brushed off as bad timing and used pills and injections to get by which was not even prescribed by nhs. I had to pay private for injections as they said as I dont have cancer, i dont qualify!.
So i was told at 20 my only option was implant. Which scared the hell out of me and I tried every other natural remedy, in the end I learned more and more about the implant and bit the bullet. Wish I done it years ago. Feel free to ask any questions

Several about 8 yrs ago I was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic. Later it converted to Type I. Not long after being diagnosed, things started going south. Then at 35 I began having other medical concerns that were later diagnosed as a neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome. (Unfortunately, mini man wasn’t what was stiff).
After a couple yrs trying to get treatment for that, one particular medication worked at stopping constant leg spasms, but it also made ED even worse.
Viagra hadn’t worked, and I wasn’t interested in a VED or shots. So, I looked into the implant. The doc agreed to do it even at a young age, and insurance approved it.
Just waiting to be activated to see if I’ll be impressed.
Good luck!

Thanks for the good luck message, defiant! i'm in the hospital bed recovering as we speak!
I have detailed my story on '26 y/o considering implant' but short summary is I developed ED around 19 years old (i am now 28) and tried everything from the pills, psycho sexual counselling, injections and dorsal vein ligation before finally getting the implant. That's generally how it works in the UK, they like to make sure you have cycled through all treatment options before getting the implant. For me by the time I got round to the implant I was 100% ready for it; I knew I had reached the end of the road and this was the only solution and honestly something I was looking forward to.
Now I am just looking forward to being activated and using my new weapon

The one good thing about being young is that you can claim that you are unable to impregnate your partner. That might sway the insurance company in your favour.

Some great responses thusfar.
One thing I’m particularly concerned about is the nature of operation; losing that spur of the moment spontaneity, time it takes to inflate, how to inflate, when and where and how it might make one feel.
Of course I know that should one get to this stage, the likelihood of them having good, spontaneous erections is diminished but it does give one pause.
