Dr Elist experiences and truths...
Dr Elist experiences and truths...
I am a former patient of Dr Elist's ... and open to any constructive and respectful discussions and 'Q & A' regarding the positives, negatives, and 'hindsight perspectives' of my experiences with Dr Elist which may be helpful or informative to other men.

How’s your experience with him?
Re: Dr Elist experiences and truths...
My experience with Dr Elist has been 'a tale of three experiences'. After an extremely hurtful divorce more than a decade ago, I experienced depression, a drastic loss of self esteem, and embarked on a series of regrettable decisions, which unfortunately included a tragic ride down the slippery slope of so called 'penile enhancement' surgery. After a series of horrific experiences which left me at the absolute low point of my life, I was referred to Dr Elist and Gary Alter as urological surgeons well experienced in reconstructive penile surgery. Dr Alter was my first choice, but declined to help me. My reconstructive surgery experience with Dr Elist was very positive, and I will always remain thankful to Dr Elist for what he did for me in that context. In 'Las Vegas terms', I should have stopped while I was 'ahead'...but I did not. After time literally had healed some physical and emotional wounds, I opted to undergo the implantation of an early version of Dr Elist's silicone implant, in the hope of regaining the lost penile 'scale' that had resulted from multiple previous ill-advised surgeries. The version of Dr Elist's silicone implant which I received was a relatively rigid version, which was unsuitable for damaged skin like mine, and was also prone to a specific type of 'biofilm' infection, which many similar smooth surfaced implants seem particularly given to. As a result, I was compelled to remove Dr Elist's silicone implant...and deal with more depression and lost self esteem. So my experience with that early version of Dr Elist's silicone implant was very disappointing. Thereafter, I developed erectile dysfunction, and was an extremely 'unhappy camper' for quite some time. A couple of years ago, Dr Elist reached out to me, and offered to perform my IPP surgery for whatever my insurance would pay for, which was limited to the cost of the actual implant. My research indicated that Dr Elist's reviews for IPP surgery were as positive as the early reviews for his silicone implant had been negative. I was low on self esteem and cash, so I accepted his offer, and had an experience which paralleled the relatively positive outcome of my earlier 'reconstructive' surgery with him. I have an AMS LGX IPP, and am very thankful for Dr Elist's latest efforts on my behalf. So my overall experience with Dr Elist has been a 'good-bad-good sandwich'! I mentioned 20/20 hindsight in my original post. I openly acknowledge and empathize greatly with the negative experiences of men who also received early versions of Dr Elist's silicone implant, and...like me...suffered from biofilm infections and other complications which forced them...like me...to remove their implants, and deal with the painful aftermath. My research into IPP surgery included reading a lot about the 'history' of IPPs, and...similar to Dr Elist's silicone implant...earlier verisons of IPPs were much more prone to infections and other complications which necessitated IPP removal surgery. Over the decades, IPP surgery has become exponentially safer and more successful. Indications are that Dr Elist's silicone implant may be following a similar evolution and development curve. Research indicates that both IPPs and Dr Elist's implant have experienced drastic drops in infection rates over time due to the use of antibiotic impregnated mesh materials applied to both 'devices'. I have read and confirmed that after years of failure to obtain same, Dr Elist has secured FDA 'approval' based upon significant improvement in his implant and it's efficacy. Obviously, for me, that ship has sailed as an option. Again, given the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I would NEVER have pursued the false 'promise' of so called 'penile enhancement' surgery of ANY kind. God's will is obviously much smarter and stronger than mine! I will say that, given the noticeable impact of IPP surgery on my length and girth, I would be very tempted...had I never self inflicted the wounds of so called 'penile enhancement' surgery...following IPP surgery, to research and consider Dr Elist's silicone implant as a way to augment my penile girth, given what appear to be the 'IPP similar' history of improvements and strides being made with regard to Dr Elist's silicone implant. I hope this open and honest assessment, based upon my personal experiences, is helpful in some way...and I am happy to answer any other questions you might have.

You might want to go back and add a few paragraph breaks in there. I'd get a headache for certain if I tried to read your post. Otherwise, who knows, it could be a great post.

I am not sure whether or not 'Naginati' is a former patient of Dr Elist, as I am, and I certainly respect his right to his opinion. All I did was report the truthful facts of my 3 very different 'good-bad-good' experiences with Dr Elist. I will leave it to logical and rational people to decide if Dr Elist would really take the time to join FrankTalk just to post a chronology that includes the facts surrounding my own negative silicone implant experience, which resulted in a removal surgery...and an acknowledgement that in hindsight, and if I could go back in time, I would NEVER have chosen to undergo any form of so called 'penile enhancement' surgery again...but maybe Dr Elist's marketing skills are as limited as some may find my 'grammer and composition' skills to be. There is no doubt that the early years of Dr Elist's implant history...much like the documented history of IPP and breast augmentation surgery...yielded some horrific results...and I was one of the men who experienced both a vicious biofilm infection, and the inconceivable depression following my removal surgery, as acknowledged in my original post. I would not wish what I went through on any man, and would love to be able to go back and undo the many self-inflicted wounds I have suffered. I also know that the man did an excellent job on my reconstructive surgery, and a good job with my IPP surgery. I am a friend of Paul Nelson's, who can vouch for who I am and what I have experienced. I am also thankful to Paul for the counseling and friendship which he offered me through a dark period in my life, as well as for introducing me to FrankTalk, and wish ALL of the men on FrankTalk the very best of God's blessings of health and happiness.

This forum is a support for impotence, not for penis enlargement. So, fu**k elist silicone implant.
Go on the penis enlargement forum and convince the many guys in psychiatric treatment after Elist disasters.

I completely agree maxxxxx!
Yes, I want the largest implant that fits my penis, but not some folly about being bigger than that.
AMS 700 CX 18cm. x 12mm. With 3cm. RTEs. 10/10/18
Re: Dr Elist experiences and truths...
This forum is entitled 'Implants' ... which I have (AMS 700 LGX) ... and I commented factually and truthfully about all my experiences. Furthermore, I have NEVER advocated 'penile enlargement', and even stated that I wish I could go back in time so that I could undo my own mistaken decision to ever undergo so called 'penile enhancement' surgery. These are the facts.

Samsdad,
I believe you, but I do not think it's right to talk here about the Elist's silicone Scam, that ruined the life (and the penis) of so many mens.
Just a question.
I saw your old post ( 2017) about your recovery after your ams lgx with Elist. You said that it was a failure. am I wrong?
" Thank you for your heartfelt reply, sir. Ironically, My first IPP surgery was a decision between Milam and the west coast doctor who had operated on me previously and offered me a deal. What a mistake! I lost 2 inches of erect / inflated length also, and a bit of a functional and aesthetic 'mess'. I only want to go through this one more time, I have to get this decision right. Fortunately, it sounds like Eid and Kramer are both good "
