Release valve on coloplast titan

Postby inspector525 » Thu Sep 13, 2018 7:19 pm

I am five weeks out of surgery. I have lots of scar tissue around pump and in scrotum. I met with a coloplast rep yesterday. I am having a very hard time finding the release valve. Anyone else have this problem?
My name is Mike. I am 64 years old. Had ED for 35 years. Finally with insurance to pay for surgery had it Aug 7. Pain was terrible first two day. Have Coloplast Titan. Dr Les McGowen , Memphis TN.

Do you have a model directly in front of you when you are searching for the valve?

How can you evaluate that you have a "lot of scar tissue around the pump"?

Here is a post on this problem that I was having. I had a picture in the post of the pump. See if you can get a model of the pump from your Dr., it really helps!

I have the Titan touch. I had a really "hard" time getting mine to deflate, I just could not find the deflate button. So I call my Dr. and told him my problem and he sent me a model of the pump. It is the actual size and shape of the real pump. That was all I needed, I could see and feel the release valve, one side had a concave shape and the opposite side had the little button. Now that I could see what I'm supposed to feel it is no problem finding it. It does seem to work better when I hold the valve and squeeze my dick to get full deflation, then I give it about two pumps. It even comes with a handy key ring :o

Thanks Andy. My dr said I had a lot of scar tissue. The area around the pump is very hard. I also met with the Coloplast representative at my drs office. He said the same thing. From your description I have the same implant. I understand where the release valve is located, I just can’t fine the concave spot to release it. I found it fine in the drs office yesterday. The rep said that this was the hardest thing for people to get use too. Thanks again. I will keep tryBig.

If you look at my surgery video, you can see the encapsulation of the reservoir is a lot of meat. I could feel it was a lot but seeing it was unreal how thick it is. The body normally encapsulates anything it cannot expel, either in tissue or calcium. Watch the video when the pump is removed.

The buttons on these things have a very low profile. I posted recently a picture with a measure so everyone could see. Add a few layers of thickness, it is easy to see how it could be a problem. Hope find away to deal with it. Cheers.
