Blow out?

Postby bobrob57 » Sat May 12, 2012 9:06 pm

As if I didn't have enough problems I just had a strange occurence. In the shower I just tried to pump it up. I was able to break up the mass surounding the pump to operate it with some difficulty. The penis did get a little hard but the skin on the right side of my penis blew up as if there was fluid under it. I stopped because of the difficulty pumping and realeased it. The other day I was trying to squeeze it down when I heard or sensed a pop on the right side also. Could something have busted? I can't think why the skin would balloon up unless some fluid was forced out of the system.

Could that have been fluid from the pushed up from my sctotum? That's what I beleive is surroundig the pump.

bobrob57 --

I have a Titan OTR, and had surgery about a month before you. What you describe here, and in your other thread, is not like anything I have experienced and it doesn't sound normal to me. But, I'm just another ignorant patient, and your Dr would be in a much better position to evaluate.

What I do know, is that if I were experiencing your symptoms, or if I thought I had an infection, or if my Dr thought I had an infection, I would expect to be in his office for an in person evaluation ASAP. Granted its a weekend, but the latest I would find acceptable would be Monday, but I really would have expected to be seen over the weekend. Infected implant components are an extremely serious matter for your future penile health. My own expectation was that if I did develop an infection, I could expect to be hospitalized for IV antibiotic treatment for days or weeks, most likely also having the implant removed and either replaced immediately or soon after once the infection was cleared, and having an infectious disease expert called in to try to pinpoint the exact infectious agent so treatment could be tailored to the specific infectious agent, if that could be identified.

It could be that what you are experiencing is just some kind of device malfunction or some kind of installation related problem. That might be less of an immediate emergency, but I would think you should want an expert evaluation ASAP.

That's just my two cents.

Thanks for your concern. I am in contact with my doctor and he put me on antibiotics. I will be talking again with him tomorrow. I am starting to become convinced that there is a malfunction in the pump. I have squeezed it out completely and the tubes have a plastic like feel. Then it starts to harden and the tubes have a firm feel.I also started to have had a tender feeling at the end of my penis. I don't know if that is from my continual squeezing or something else. The last time this happened in the scrotum it started to clear up after several days on the antibiotics.I not in any pain. With this frustration is starting to set in and I am wondering what lies down the road. Maybe some secound thoughts .

Please keep us posted. I won't speculate as to the cause. I had a blow out with my Titan and I'm scheduled to get it replaced on the 25th of this month. Let me know what your doctor said.

I pumped it up today and all is ok that way. I must have pushed up the fluid from my scrotum . But there are still issues . I'm on antibiotics for a possible infection. There still is the mass of liquid forming around the pump. The comfort problem is beginning to be a major one . From the start I felt a though I had a perpetual bonner. I asked the resident in the hospital if it was pumped up and he said it wasn't. The doctor remarked at the one week visit that there must be fluid in it because it looked a little firm. The next visit he held the release while I squeezed. It went down to a plasticy type of feeling which he said was normal feeling when it was sqeezed out. It doesn't stay like that. Slowly the tubes firm up and I get the bonner feeling . I'm constantly sqeezing it during the day when I'm up and about.I asked last week at my visit if it would loosen up as I start working it and they said it might. So far no good. I was out shopping and soon as I got in I sqeezed it out again. I wondering how this is supposed to feel.I'm starting to walk bow legged. It certainly is not what my Uro said" like wearing a shirt you won't even know you have it." I'm about ready to pull the thing out if I could. Would appreciate any advice.

Feels like I have a rod from behind my balls through my dick. Not pain just plain discomfort. No shirt. Too bad my dicks up to six inches. Don't have any desire to use it now.

Try this and see if it helps. When griping your penis and squeezing out the final volume, do a couple if intense burst squeezes, like trying to pump it up the ball with the penis. Those fast/forceful actions will hopefully push the check valve into place and prevent trickle back leakage in the valve. The valve should start seating better over time and become more efficient. That's how mine worked.. Good Luck
