This appears to be what other surgeons are not doing. This video shows just how much work is put in to getting cylinders to the tip. Ive not seen one before marked on the outside where the tip should be.

I did and do hold a direct line and email into the surgeons offic. Albeit direct contact is always firstly via his team but when insistent he is available. I cannot imagine how frustrating the monster of the nhs is when there are concerns. Nonetheless your surgeon can’t be hard to track down as they generally only practice in one main place. You MUST make a nuisance of yourself or you won’t be heard. At your age 3 invasive surgeries on your penis cannot be a good thing. As I’ve said before I would be parked on his lawn. Until a suitable resolution is arranged. You have to be strong here or you will be fobbed off.

Make sure you are clear what you have and haven’t been told. It appears your revision was on 10/12 or 11/12 so only 4 days out and it appears you had already “used it two days after surgery. I’m fairly sure. You would not be healed enough but I’m no expert on revisions. I know in the USA it seems they are more aggressive in starting to cycle etc but to my knowledge that’s not the U.K. guidance. I could be wrong butbas defiant states if you do decide to take any form of legal action you will Need to be sure you followed guidance at all times. Or it will be a struggle to make any claim. You need to get hold of your surgeon for the revision ASAP. I mean like right now and have an honest and frank discussion on your concerns, insist on a meeting and for him to look at the result. Take his guidance and thoughts and then decide what you do next. I would be parked on his lawn!!!

I am positive that the doctor instructed me that I could use it once the swelling had gone down. I believe the resoviour and pump may be the original ones so maybe it was not as invasive..
I will have a follow up appointment where I will show them and make it fully clear I am unhappy.
Did you have direct contact details for Mr Ralph as i never got any for both surgeries.

How do you not know this information? (What was actually done exactly)

Every stay in hospital should result in a discharge summary, NHS or private, that summarises why you went in, what was done and what the plan is going forward (future appointments etc).

He normally does not either.. he just wanted to show how bad the other implant was.

6cm difference seems quite a bit, to the point that it's difficult to understand how the original surgeon managed to be so far off. :/

Yea, that's what I thought too. This doctors name is what we need to be seeing on here every day, not one of the MANY good, competent surgeons... there are a LOT more good guys than bad guys.

I have attached discharge summary. This is all I recieved and from a nurse and was told I am okay to go. When in hospital believing all had gone well I didnt feel the need to dig further. I just wanted to get home.

Mmmm. Where are your pain control instructions and those you were discharged with should be noted. Where is the subject matter other than ED? The surgeons sign off. Etc etc. This can’t be correct procedure surely. I may be wrong as I don’t profess to know the workings of the nhs but there is scant info on this form. What has been sent to your GP? Do you know. Where are the implant model serial numbers etc. Maybe this is normal but it just reinforces the view that you are not being treated correctly and with care.

As an NHS healthcare professional on the frontline, for such a procedure, this is an absolute disgrace of a discharge summary.

Probably written by an on-call who never even met you.

I agree. With such major surgery your discharge is vitally important and list all requirements both in terms of contacts, who did what, when, pain control etc. This is beyond shoddy. I agree. Complain very very loudly.
