I said that I was having urological surgery (which is true), and no one wanted to know any details. :)

I was working for a large company when I got my implant. I told my manager I was having some surgery and would be out for up to two weeks. I didn't expect any questions, and none were asked, either by management, HR, or co-workers. Lots of people took medical absences and nobody ever questioned them. Seems like minding your own business is the general practice.

I told a few people that I was going to have some “plumbing” issues taken care of. No one has asked for details.
