I was assured I would get maximum length and girth with the implant of MY choice. That’s one advantage of a high volume surgeon, they have all sizes available during surgery. That’s not saying there’s anything wrong with using anyone you want but ask if he has the full range of sizes available or does he have to order based on an external examination.

When my Uro discussed implants with me he indicated that a representative from Coloplaste would be at the hospital the day of the implant with the full line of implants from Coloplaste.

Alas, my Insurance co put the Kabash on my implant surgery!

I used a low volume doctor, Dr. Paolone, in Madison, Wisconsin. I got several referrals from brothers on another forum. They were very pleased and so am I. I did not lose any length. Actually, I had the implant 6 years ago today. I have great results and have absolutely nothing negative to say about him. He was very nice and patient. Dr. Paolone's nurses say that he takes his time and does not rush the surgery. After watching some videos of high volume doctors doing implants like they were trying to beat the clock in performing the surgery, his nurses' comments helped put me over the top in choosing him. I have no idea how many implants he does now. I flew in from the Rockies to Madison to see him.
Good luck!

Low volume Doc here in St. Louis does 25 - 30 a year. Very pleased. Asked AMS rep who he'd have and he said my dr. hands down. He said that she is a perfectionist. That's all I needed.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

I am 1 yrs out with my urologist as my surgeon. He a does a couple per month but uses only AMS devices. At 78, I am an experienced patient. In 1993, I had leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. The only failure I have had is a TURIP over a bladder neck injury that often requires frequent surgeries. I changed urologists after that to my current urologist.
