From Reuters.

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danish medical device maker Coloplast on Tuesday said it is conducting an “unconditional strategic review” of its urology division.
The announcement came after Bloomberg on Tuesday reported, citing unnamed sources, that Coloplast is considering a sale of the unit for a price above $1 billion and had hired advisers.
Coloplast said it would provide further information as it becomes available.
The company is the world’s fourth-largest manufacturer of interventional urology products with a market share of about 15%, according to its annual report.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

if coloplast sells their urology line, then the new company will own the manufacturing and the patents. Hopefully, the new manufacturer will do as good of a job as coloplast. Usually, the new manufacturer duplicates everything with design and materials and production and life goes on as always.

Whatever the case, my coloplast titan is now 2.5 years old. I love the girth of the titan. So, when I need a revision (hopefully seven years from now or more), then I will really try to get a design that is as identical to my titan as possible. If I have to go AMS in ten years, then, yes, that will be a sad day since it would be a downgrade in penis girth for me.

But, at least I will have had some glorious years with my big fat coloplast titan. So, to quote Shakespeare: "it is better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all"

(63 yo, Titan 22cm implant Feb 2017 by Dr Eid) I'm super pleased with my length/girth/implant performance. See my story at "The road to becoming a bionic male: Answers ..."

Far as I'm concerned, Coloplast can dry up and be swept into the North Sea!! I didn't NEED any more girth but my moron surgeon was having none of the explanation that Eid offers to his patients! My profile says it all. NEVER a revision even if my Titan 22cm fails tomorrow.
77; ED at 50. Fired by 1st doc (Szobota - VA Uro) too many q's & contact w/ Coloplast rep. New doc: Ellen (VA Uro) implanted 11/8/18. 22cm Titan + 2cm RTEs; moron docs, product rep, intake/ dischg nurses! NEVER again! L- 6.75"; G- 5.5" oval.

American Medical Systems sold their implant to Boston Scientific, nothing has changed, but the name. The same will happen with Coloplast.

Exactly correct. Happens in business all the time. It's so seamless that we don't even notice that it happened. I see no reason for concern.
