Anyone take out a personal or medical loan to pay for implant?

But I don't know where to actually find a good loan option. One of my friends recommended to me https://expertpaydayloans.com. He says, that they gave him a car loan with a 4 % interest rate. The point is - his car costs like an implant I want to buy. So there is a chance that I can take an implant loan with similar interest rate. Maybe there is an even better option?

due to cost I opted to put it on hold.

If you ask Dr Karpman in Cali he accepts a loan service but its a higher rate (13-20%). You are better off getting a 0% interest credit card and trying to pay it off as fast as possible.

I am still waiting for insurance pre-authorization. My concern about self-paying is not the initial cost, but my policy (and most) will not cover complications from non covered procedures. What if there is an infection or it comes through the skin? You could be paying the rest of your life.

Something just ocurred to me.
My AMS 3-piece, which was infected from the get-go, was not covered by Boston Scientific (BS) because UHC just got the bill for the Tectra, which is also BS, and that bill was 40K. I have no idea why it is so high when I was quoted only 23K, but I am glad I had UHC.
I definitely would have passed on this implant if I was not covered. The jury is still out on the litigation.

I’m going to have to pay out of pocket.

The last time that I went to the doctor, she said that she could not tell my insurance company, which is Blue Cross Blue Shield, to sign off on an implant because I still had other options available to me.

I tried taking out a loan from my credit uñion, my bank and a loan company but didn’t have any luck.

Does anybody have any tips on getting my insurance to pay for it? I sure would like to keep most of my money. lol

Make sure they don't code the pre-authorization as "SEXUAL ENHANCEMENT" but rather for "ED", "PD", etc. I have BCBS that's employer funded and I was approved on first request on the grounds that I have PD and this was a needed surgery to correct the damage and curvature of PD. The doctor also added "LOW LIBIDO", "PD" and "ED" codes as well as indicating that I had already been on Cialis with no significant improvement in rigidity.

My insurance preauthorization was approved surprisingly on the first go around in only about a week!

Perhaps if you give it a little more time and ask your doctor to try other methods first, keeping sight of the implant, insurance might be a more sure thing. Also, if you have Peyronie's Disease (curvature, hour-glass shape, hinging or internal scarring), you might be surprised that the insurance may approve the surgery without any further treatment attempts.

I’m going to take your advice, especially since it will be a few months before I can get it done if I pay out of pocket.

I am not indorsing or recommending it but there is a company that offer's package's for self pay surgery. With penile implants there is also 25K insurance that covers complications including infection. There are some doctors listed with this company that I recognize as being recommended on this site. This is the link: https://surgeo.com/penile-implant

Again not recommending just putting the information out for others to look into. I have not done a lot of research of this company. That will your responsibility. Just trying to let others know of this option.

I used my home for a loan for my implant. Through my credit union it was just under or at 5%.
