If I was lucky like some of you with a dick longer than her interior that wouldn't be a problem...but with little 'ol me she bottoms out. Curiously we have done this before (with multiple orgasms) without this being an issue, so not sure why it was last night.

I suppose a spongy texture penis ring might help cushion the landing action... what say ye ? :?

As an aside I wonder if the tubing connections absolutely had to be where they are ? Sure would be better if they were buried deeper in my bod. Maybe they could have been if he's snipped 1cm off 18cm LGX base instead of using 15cm with 2cm RTE's ?

Evinrude,
What you described in your post, it is exactly here in my case.
I have 3 hard spots at 9, 12 and 3 o’Clock positions. My wife always complains about pain from this hard spots ( tubing connects to cylinders, and 12 o’ Clock I don’t know what is there)which is very painful for her when she is on top same as in missionary position. I also feel pain around penis base, which sometimes doesn’t allow me to finish.
I am already 12 months post implant. Never started getting better.

Yeah I have a similar situation feels like a tube on the right hand side on the base of my penis. It’s not noticeable to the eye just feel. The left hand side there’s no problem. Seeing my surgeon in two weeks for activation and the all clear after my op so I’ll see what he has to say about it.

Cheers Greg

I wondered if it would make it easier for him to get a straight shot out of the cylinders to the pump.

I just revisited the AMS surgical procedures and believe I found the reason.
I'll try to attach the write-up on it:

I would like to know the logic behind the subtraction of the 2 cm to get the "adjusted" length. The reasons described in "Cylinder Sizing: Less is More" by Montague and Angermeier have been surpassed years ago. So, I wonder how old your source information is. I suspect it is not current practice.

Same place I have a bump when erect and a noticeable bulge when flaccid, at the base on the right side. A female urology fellow of my implant doctor examined me for this once and said she thought it was just a small kink in the cylinder that would work its way out eventually. Over two years later it's still there. It isn't a problem for me aside from the visual aspect. I can definitely feel a tube exiting from the site so apparently the young trainee urologist was wrong. Kind of disconcerting given the fact she was present during my implant procedure and may have done most of it for all I know!
Became DaveKell 2.0 on July 18th with Dr. Allen Morey in Dallas, TX. AMS 700 CX implant. 18cm with 5.5 RTE's.

I think they subtracted the 2cm in order to get the tubing to come straight out of the cylinders to the pump.
The source I referenced was from 2012.
