So scared to do implant surgery

Had my implant May 11 this year. My wife and I have had sex 5 or 6 times since then.Doc said no sex for 6 weeks so we just got started.Each time we have sex it gets better. My anxiety about getting an erection is completely gone and it’s a wonderful feeling.

I had the same butterflies before surgery but I can tell you that I’m extremely happy with my decision. A little short term discomfort will give way to long term happiness.

Relax it will be worth it.

I’m younger than you and planning on seeing Eid. I’m not worried about the surgery itself, I just hate seeing how many people here need to get replacements after only like 2 years so I’m hoping something like that nitinol implant prototype comes out in the near future

Realize though vast majority of satisfied customers never post anything at all, you mostly only see those that had some sort of problem and often seek out FrankTalk to find a community that can help them find answers to their problems. Gives you a skewed sense of the actual incidence of complications.

Yes but there are a few guys who have had their implant for more than 20 years.

How "near future" do you consider "near"?

We were all scared....I think we were even more scared immediately after surgery (what the hell did I do to my dick!?!?!?!?)..... IT'S WORTH IT!!! Good luck, man!!

Knowledge dispels fear. I know of at least one who did not have that "What did I DO to myself?" moment. Not bragging. Just saying.

And I for one never had any of the common emotions: anticipatory fear or worry, post-op "What'd I do" thoughs, nothing.

I knew going in before I even sought out a urologist that I was through living with a limp bent dick (and getting more limp all the time) and decided to myself that what I had wasn't of use so I had nothing to lose except a cosmetic affectation if things didn't go to plan. I had done all my homework, watched many videos including degloves, plaque excisions and grafts. Knew what to expect and didn't have a single fear right up to the time the drugs kicked in on the table. Coming out of it I was just as resolute, with no concerns or regrets, only the will to get done with the waiting so I could FUCK again. Then came the job of convincing my wife to let me. It wasn't easy to get her receptive, but she came around and WOW, she's had O's in the hundreds since then and she is very happy.

There are so many happy stories out there. Those guys will be having better sex (or sex at all) than us. You have Eid too, there are probably surgeons who are just as good, but I would doubt any would be better.

If things don't work anymore then that's it. Get it done, it doesn't matter what age you are. I don't want to waste any more time.
Stay strong and be brave! You will be able to do it, and you will be glad you did.
