Rescuebrady wrote:Hi guys, I’m a new member and post op (1week) AMS 700 implant. Got a question for those of you who has went thru the process. My pump is installed on the right side of my scrotum. That side is so sore to the point it hurts to pump and feels very thick in texture. Is that normal and does the soreness improve. Thanks guys for any advise.

In a word "yes". Had basically same implant 1/28/21. Took good 45 days or so before I was not tender & sore. I tried pumping early (about your stage) was just not healed enough to do it. The scrotum is just now feeling like normal skin except incision which is healed but still thick feeling (no pain). Out of curiosity was your incision vertical or horizontal? I've watched videos of surgeons doing it both ways and my surgeon said that vertical is simply the way he prefers to do it. Incision was no more than 1.25 inches long.

Yep. Lots of tissue. Drainage. Etc. That takes time to be absorbed. It was about 3 months after both my implants until my scrotum felt about halfway normal.

Welcome, my scrotum was the last to be pain free was very painful for at least 2 weeks. For some reason the pain felt more like a skin irritation. I put some cream that was for nursing ladies for sore nipples. Maby it was physiological I do like boobs. It remained tender to sit for about 6 weeks and got steadily better each day. If i pulled my scrotum up before I sat down it helped. I still have pain when I pump daily for therapy the pain is in my penis and I think that will be normal till I reach maximum stretch. Absolutely no pain in scrotum when I pump. Does not effect intercourse as it is firm enough for intercourse several pumps before max pressure. Hang in there things will improve as time goes by. Definitely well worth the pain!

In the first 2-3weeks after my surgery I found that supporting the scrotum with a rolled up hand towel when sitting or laying on my back in bed helped a lot with pain in that area.
Implanted AMS 700 lgx, Jan 15th 2021. 18cm with 3cm rte.
