I was 6" in the vac. right out of surgery and healing I was 5 1/2. With in 16 weeks I was back to 6 inch. 3 years later I still have pain when pumped to max and I am 6 1/2 at max but I don't use it at 100% max. To painful for enjoyment and to hard anyway.

Glad your size improved!!! Have you noticed anything about girth? I'm currently down in length and my girth has been down since surgery. A little concerned it doesn't seem to be growing.

It is another set of nerves that fills the glans and fills out girth. Implant does not expand in girth. Repairing those nerves is the only way to get more girth. I had an RP 4 years ago that damaged those nerves. My entire penis was cold with very little blood flow. Popsicle on a stick. Those nerves are slowly regenerating.

Are you positive implants can't improve or at least regain girth? I had posted this few weeks ago with a study finding patients had an increased length and girth post-implant after a year of using a VED - flaccid girth increased from 3.5" to 4.3" and increased stretched flaccid from 5.5" to 6.7".

The researchers even defined these size increases as "statistically significant."

Penile shortening after inflatable penile prosthesis placement for erectile dysfunction is a common postoperative patient complaint and can reduce overall satisfaction with the procedure. In this prospective study we report our results regarding penile dimensions and patient satisfaction outcomes after 1 year of follow-up from AMSTMLGX700® penile prosthesis implant with 6 months of vacuum erectile device therapy. Seventy-four selected patients with medically refractory erectile dysfunction underwent AMSTM LGX 700® IPP placement. Postoperatively, patients were assigned vacuum device therapy for 5 min twice daily. Follow-up continued for 1 year after surgery. Dimensional and functional results were assessed. Baseline median preoperative stretched penile length and girth were 14 cm (range 10-17) and 9 cm (range 7-12), respectively. At the end of the study penile median dimensional outcomes were 17 cm (range 13-23) for length and 11 cm (range 10-13) for girth while a median number of 24 pumps (range 18–29) to fully inflate the device was seen. Baseline median International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) score was 9 (range 5-11), at 6 months 20 (range 18-26) and at 1 year was 25 (range 20-27) (p<0.0001). Median Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction (EDITS) score at the end of the follow-up was 74 (range 66–78). Our postoperative rehabilitation program is feasible and should be recommended after prothesis surgery in order to increase overall satisfaction with the procedure. Penile postoperative dimensional outcomes were statistically significant improved and complications were negligible.

If studies are finding this, I don't know how it could also be true that girth is all about repairing nerves.

2435tjkias, I personally think that there is a strong chance that length/girth MIGHT be slightly increaseable. I have noticed some members report increases plus the study that you quote.
In my mind it depends on a lot of variables. I'm thinking it might depend upon just how much the tunica tissue behaves like tendon tissure. I'm sure that we've all seen fleshy tissue stretch. The gaging crowd prove that. But cartalidge tissue doesn't gage to my understanding. I do know that tendons can atrophy or stretch. In my laymans mind it seems like tunica might be similar to tendon tissue.
To be clear, I really doubt that the amount of stretching is very much. Also some men may have more or less durable tunica than others.
I'm not making any clams. Nor giving medical advice. I will not argue, either way on my hunch.

I had gains past one year. It is very slow going though. It slowed down for me the farther away from surgery I was.

Missed this earlier - that's great to hear. I'm 3 months out and after I started cycling and all that it was growing back fast. Now it been changing very slowly and I've been worried. I still have time?

Let's say from months 6 to 12, your experience was that you still had gains in those times, albeit slowly? Did these gains hold? Meaning,the penis enlargement crowd says they do but I doubt that. I'm guessing (and hoping) gains after implant don't require constant maintenance.

Your laymans mind is much better than mine! Can you link me or tell me about the gaging crowd? I'm unfamiliar with what gaging means and what the fleshy tissue stretch is referring to.

The study compare a preoperative stretched penis with a postoperative mechanical inflated one. And there is no control group. It's (very?) low quality statistically speaking. I'm not saying it's impossible, I guess there are some anecdote also here on FT. I'm just saying it's not a good evidence.

The most common gaging is people that have ear lobe holes that are huge.

I was 5.5" before surgery. After surgery, I was 4.5", kept cycling, and reached 5.5" after a few months. Kept cycling and reached 5.75". A few days ago I noticed my penis was slightly bigger than what I am used to. Checked again and it is now 5.10" or 5.11", sometimes it almost hits 6". It's been over a year in my case. The implant softens up and stretches more with time. The key is to have patience.

My guess is that my penis was shorter before surgery because of ED over many years. My penis shrank and I even had slight Peyronie's disease. The Dr only discovered it during the surgery and told me later.

I cannot advise people enough to go to a top-notch Dr. In my case, it was Dr. Hakky in Atlanta. May God give him a long life. He's hands down one of the best urologist in the US right now.

Thanks so much indusvalley! I'm hoping it works that way for me too.

Also, I would imagine, but not know, that without continued exercise your size might go back down? Or is pumping/unpumping enough as most of us do fairly often (sex or porn). Using a VED fairly often wouldn't be very difficult.

I didn't lose any size with surgery. PD and ED had already taken an inch and a half over the years. I was 5.5" following surgery, and now get to 6.25" which certainly isn't my personal best from long ago, but I am happy to have this much working dick.
