How many still use VED after implant?
Re: How many still use VED after implant?
Not to be too picky but the numbers we talked about 18mm, 20mm 22mm, are not girth, they are diameters so take those numbers and multiply by Pi (3.124) and that is girth. It is not that straight forward to multiply two cylindes, say 21mm dia (or width) and get 42mm X Pi and get 132 mm or about 5.25" girth, because you will not be "round" shaped anymore, but oval shaped. They say, that the oval shape is more pronouced with the AMS but with the titan is the same but to a lesser extent. Anyway if you get the titan that has about 21mm shafts, you should get around 5" girth, I think. Well good luck on your implants.
age 74 married, Robotic RP Dec.2009. Implanted Jan 2011 with AMS 700LGX and AMS 800 AUS. (AMS 1500). IPP failed March 2018 , leak. Planning an AUS revision (total replacement) in 2018, now I need the IPP too.
Re: How many still use VED after implant?
You're right of course, I should have used "diameter" instead of "girth". BTW if I only get a 5 inch girth with the 21mm diameter cylinders I'm not going to be too happy as that would mean a loss of 1 1/2 inches of girth!

Re: How many still use VED after implant?
I would think if you got a Titan with a (MAX) 21 mm diameter, and you actually got anywhere close to that expansion with your Titan, you'd be well past 5 inches in girth. However, just because you have 21mm potential doesn't mean you'll get there. I have 22cm Titan cylinders (which means 21mm potential cylinder diameters) and am roughly 4 3/4 in girth. The limit is my scarred tunica. If my body could expand more, I'm completely confident I'd have a LOT more girth.
If you are 6 1/2 in girth, as you imply, you're in the top 99.9% of all healthy men. See mraverage.com I'd venture you're even more exceptional in the universe of ED challenged men.

Well to be honest, that's after I use my VED (which gives me about a 3/4' or so increase). I have been using it everyday, twice a day (getting ready for my surgery on 10/12/12) so it's been staying at or around 6 1/2' girth. I'm thinking (hoping really) that since I'm capable of expanding to 6 1/2 girth with the VED I should be able to get close to that with the Titan.

Re: How many still use VED after implant?
Remember, that you have two parallel cylindars with the implants. This means that an 18mm dia implant gives at least a 36 mm diameter penis on at least on axis.add extra diameter for body tissue and you will have a pretty good size package. Just using a little geometry says that the girth with 18mm dia implants wiil be over 4 inches if you consider just the implants.
I do believe that most of us that have or are going forimplants will be biologically limitted in girth and possibly even for length.

Re: How many still use VED after implant?
I had thought about using my VED to increase girth, but have decided not to, because I would much rather go with what I have than risk damaging my implant. I have the AMS LGX 700 and my girth measures 5.5". That has been fairly consistent since I started inflating. What has increased has been my length when I first started inflating I was at 5.5" and am currently at 6.5"
I figure that I am close to max as doc tells me he used 21cm cylinder length. My original size before my injury was 8"x6". I thought it would make a big difference, but according to my wife she loves how hard it is and the length and girth are very pleasing. I know I'm enjoying myself.

55 years old. ED since 2002 total venous leakage after penile fracture. Tried all the pills and injections all failed to help. Some success with VED, but felt too unnatural to both of us, seldom used. Implanted 06/21/12. Trying to wear IT out.

That 21cm cylinder length must be before expansion, right? Doesn't about 7 cm of the cylinder go inside the body leaving you with 14 cm outside the body which equates to about 5 1/2 inches? So at your full expansion (6 1/2) the cylinders must be around 23.5 cm?
Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, I just started researching penile implants and want to learn as much as I can before my surgery .

I thought about you said so what I did was measure how much my glans extends beyond the tips of the cylinders and its about 3cm. I'm not sure how much of my implant is proximal, but that's where I think the inch beyond the actual cylinder length comes in. I can feel the tips go up into the base of the glans. I think it helps keep it from being floppy at the tip. I took a pic and drew some lines to give you a point of reference to kinda give you a visual to see what I mean.

Hey. Did you have much swelling after implant? How long before swelling started going down?
Age 61.

Hi bluis6214
Thank you for the pic. What length were you before the implant?
