That’s a pretty big claim! 6.5 Million+ cycles?

Had to find the study that came from. In their references it says they got the number from this study: Pritchard C., et al. Comparison of AMS 700 CX and Coloplast Titan Inflatable Penile Prosthesis Cylinders Subjected To In Vitro Cyclic Buckling

I search everywhere and I cannot find that study. I do find it mentioned here in an advertisement from Boston Scientific where they at least cite what journal it's in: https://www.bostonscientific.com/conten ... idence.pdf

Pritchard C, Daniels G. Comparison of AMS 700 CX and Coloplast Titan inflatable penile prosthesis cylinders subjected to in vitro cyclic buckling. J Sex Med. 2009;6(Suppl 1):4-41.

Oh, so they say it’s in Journal of Sexual Medicine 2009, volume 6. And since I still can’t find it in any searches I tried finding it in the journals themselves:

And I don’t think that study exists. Pretty sure they made it up.

So you probably shouldn’t believe what companies say about their durability, but I do believe that they’re really strong, medical grade devices that are not cheap. I asked them if I could buy a device itself because I assume if I could hold it by hand I’d realize they don’t break easy. They said they don’t, but your ask your doctor’s office and they should. Haven’t done that yet, but yeah, I get the feeling that for some men it’s not really the device that has them overly worried, it’s the fact that they’re in your dick. If you care enough about your size it's worth doing some work. And besides, what's the big deal anyway if it does weaken or happen to break? You can get it fixed and go without sex for a little while.

Huh, guess I was wrong about this too. I was thinking how I probably didn't look through the journal close enough and I wanted to make sure. Turns out it's a very real study:

I'd say the results are open to your interpretation, but seems like these devices are indeed pretty durable. Coloplast stating the device is "capable of 6.5 Million+ cycles" is really good wording. The Titan is indeed capable of going through 6.5 million cycles without failure. It's done it before.

Though I do worry about the AMS and failing after about 600,000 cycles. And don't do girl on top? "However, aneurysmal failures in parylene-coated AMS 700 cylinders during 'woman on top' intercourse have been reported. It is surmised that buckling of the cylinder results in this particular mode of failure."

Yep, "The durability of AMS 700 cylinders has been improved by the addition of parylene, but they may be prone to aneurysm formation due to buckling of the cylinders."

[Also: am I losing my mind? I think I left this comment earlier but it disappeared and idk what if I'm making sense right now.]
40. AMS 700 LGX, 21+3. Nov. 2, 2021. Idiot who abused alcohol for brain injury, abused viagra for implant.

Goal to prove implants increase dick size

Pre-op dick size: 8.75" x 5.7"

Current: 9-9.5" x 5.5"

Goal: 10+" x 6+"
