The nurse says that pee is sterile and a little bit on the gauze will be okay. Can anyone confirm this? Or tell me if showering multiple times is not a good idea?

My scrotum is now burning as well, is this a cause for concern?

Look and see if they gave you discharge instructions in your paperwork from the medical facility when you were released after the surgery. May be a lot of information to read.

You should be laying as flat as possible for the first few days. Ice packs should be used also to help with the swelling. I was also instructed to take Motrin to help with the swelling. As the swelling goes down the ability to urinate more normally will return. As you have your incision high at the base of your glans I would try to find a waterproof tape to shield the gaze as much as you can. And as I said to blot the urine with toilet paper to dry. Urine is sterile in that it is waste filtered from the blood stream. The thing is that germs can grow very fast in urine. So the first bit of urine washing out your urethra can have some germs in it. I was on oral antibiotic medication after the surgery and if you are you should take that as directed. Your paperwork may also have information on what to look for as a sign of infection. Fever, discharge from the incision, etc... I would not shower every time I urinated. Just blot dry with tp and if the bandage is soaked with urine then change it.

Good luck and ask any questions you have.

I haven't been on FT long but you're the 1st person that I've seen here so far that has said he got a sub-coronal implant. I heard Perito mention the sub-coronal implant in a couple of his videos but I'he never explained how it was gone. Gotta look it up.

Won't help you but FWIW, I got an infrapublic implant.

The bandages around my dick, the Foley catheter & drain were removed before I was discharged from the hospital and there was only a thin piece of gauze overlaying the incision which was sticked with absorbing sutures and glued.

Good luck and best wishes for a prompt recovery from your surgery!

First, congratulations on taking the big step. We are all here for the same reason, and we all can relate to your journey. You are day one, and it is a whole new experience and a whole new world for you. At this moment, you are probably not in a celebratory mood yet, but rest assured your ED will in due time become a thing of the past. There is a reason why the satisfaction rate of these devices is over 90%. You will be one of the success stories for sure.

it seems like peeing is one of those small issues that affects everybody. I don’t mean to minimize your concerns, but it’s going to be OK.

I had my implant via these Penoscrotal approach. I was tightly wrapped in bandages for only one full day, at which time all bandages were removed. There was not anything whatsoever covering my incision. My instructions were that showers were OK the day after surgery, but baths were not. Others here report different protocols for bathing.

I do remember my surgeon saying that if Pee got on the bandage that it was of no concern.

I know it is frustrating that random sprain from the tip of your penis. I am one month and one week post recovery and still am not able to aim accurately 100% of the time. My implant was left at 60% inflated, so for almost 5 weeks I have had a semi erection. I think the reason for my random spraying is that , the pressure of my semi erection against my underwear, pushes the glands into odd angles as I adjust it periodically for comfort. When I take it out to P, it seems like the tip is not in frequently, distorted from the pressure, resulting in a random spray pattern. Usually after several moments, the stream flattens out, and everything is OK, though it is not uncommon to have a primary stream, followed by a little “dribbling“ as well.

Not something that I’m concerned about at all.

My surgery was closed with dissolvable stitches. I showered daily, being very gentle in the surgical area.

There is no evidence of infection whatsoever. Hang in there, my friend, your early on, and you are bound to probably overthink things that need not be really given much thought to four a good bit more time.

We all heal differently, but from what I’ve seen on the forum, there is very little I have ever read that indicates getting some urine on the surgical area will result in an infection. Just keep it clean and wash it gently as what I would suggest. But it’s an all things your doctor should know.

Thanks a lot for your support and kind words, really means a lot. Just a question, im laying down anad my penis is positioned like this most of the time (see pic),is this a cause for concern? Should I have it positioned to the abdomen?

This has been posted about a bit in the past. Many say it will help erection angle. My discharge instructions from my doctor stated I did not need to do so. I could of done it as it did not say not to just that there was no need. But doctors and men differ. Up to you and your doctor. It has taken a long time and after my repair to get to a 3:00 or level with the floor when standing erection. 4-4:30 was where I was at fully pumped.

If you can get the information on the brand and type of device you have and make a signature at the bottom then we can answer your questions better. As the devices differ and the date of surgery and doctor it you like. Your sub coronal approach would also be helpful and save you typing the info over and over when asked. You can do that by going to your user control panel. Just click on your user name in the upper right of the page.

In your picture the gaze shows what looks like blood on it. If that is so where ever that is coming from is where your biggest risk of infection. That is where you need to be concerned and take the most care to keep clean and as dry as possible.
