You have a separate reservoir incision in addition to the implant incision?

Yes I have a separate reservoir incision. I am not having much pain in the scrotum, just tender as I would have expected. But I am having pain and discomfort in the stomach and Reservoir incision area. I have contacted my doctor. I am trying to avoid the Oxycodone pills, but that is not working out as I had hoped for.
Thanks for asking.

I assume there’s a good reason for separate incisions, in my short time on FT I’ve never read of someone with a separate reservoir incision. Did your surgeon make up the tubing connections during surgery or just use the reservoir incision to help place the reservoir from the IPP incision?

Do you have previous hernia repairs or other abdominal issues that required the separate incision that could be causing your pain?

I had a penoscrotal incision and my reservoir was placed through that access deep in my abdomen, I can’t feel it or see it at all. I wouldn’t know where it is if the doctor hadn’t told me.

I do not know about the separate incision details, probably will be able to ask all the needed questions on June 2. But WoW I am pretty bruised up.

I did find out there were no extensions added in a call today. I am still in a lot of pain and the doctor prescribed added Oxycodone pills, I do not know how many though. This has been pretty rough for me. I just want this pain to go away. I have tried a heating pad, but went back to icing up this afternoon.

Exactly my point. OP, you will likely end up right where you started. And that is what we call a successful procedure.

That is what I hope for, no shrinkage but a hard erection.

At this point I am only 4 days post op. I am in a lot of pain, not so much in my penis but the whole area of the groin, stomach area and reservoir area are very painful. It is so bad I cannot move about. I hope this gets better with time and improved pain meds I am calling the Urologist nurse this AM and see what can be done. In the meantime I am using Ice.

Dr. Clavell has a youtube video on pain management, it recommends taking alternating pain medication every three hours post op to manage pain. For example Tylenol now, then in 3 hrs Advil, then in 3 hours Tylenol and so on. Also I feel your pain Im post op a little over 2wks and likewise am dealing with reservoir pain and discomfort but its gettng better a little bit at a time. Keep in mind you're doctors orders this is just an fyi.

My separate incision is due to bilateral hernia repair and all the mesh and I knew up front that was the plan…no unusual pain with it, though.

I also had penoscrtotal with separate incision for reservoir. Surgeon said it would be that way but surgical notes look like that was chosen due to previous incisions for RP. My CX is 18 with one RTE on one side. I have about 5 inches at 20% inflation that I was left with. Just 3 weeks out and I could not resist playing with that pump so I have put a few squeezes in and it gets close to 5 1/2 so really hope I can get back to the 6 I had, but anything close (that works) will make me more than happy. I had no issues with pain and feel bad for you buzzer, hope it improves soon.
I don't here much about this but for my RP I was worried about constipation from the narcotics. I tried cannabis and did not think it would work and was totally surprised that it worked much better than oxycodone.
