[/quote]I agree with the above, totally. Everyone is going to have their opinion and experience on this of which you're entitled to. I can only speak from my experience. I have a very deep crus probably due to my height. I ask about RTE's pre implant and was told they'd be minimised, however i ended up with 3.5 RTE. I was told that they were used to place the pump and tubing correctly. Unless im at 100% inflation (which doesn't feel any good) i have poor stability. I can feel it flex right at the top of the RTE's, every. single. time.
Is this a consequence of the rest of my anatomy? Maybe. Is it because i have an average girth? Maybe. Point is if less RTE's were used ie: a 26cm with 1cm trimmed off instead of 22cm and 3.5 RTE, i would have better stability. That cannot be argued otherwise, period.
As for the arguement about the pump placement. I believe its Dr EID who tries to minimise the use of RTEs for stability sake? Is it that Dr EID has never implanted someone with a deep crus? I wouldn't have thought so. The same with Dr Perito? Do they also add more RTE's only with deeper crus?
None of us are surgeons so there can never be a definitive answer. However there's 2 things i believe. RTE's increase the chance of instability. And, most surgeons i believe, use preconnected implants. I've always been an extreme grower and i believe i ended up with 3.5 RTE based on the operating table measurements ie: my corpora stretched further than anticipated.
Again, i'm not a surgeon and there's a massive chance i'm wrong, its just my opinion. Together with this, i'm not criticizing my surgeon as my implant works as intended... it just has more instability than i would have liked.
Hello you got a 22cm +3,5cm RTE, so you have 5,5cm not inflateable part from the cylinders (25%) + 3,5cm non inflateable part from the RTE
16,5cm INFLATEABLE
9 cm NOT INFLATEABLE
You dont must be surgeon to know everything about your stability of your dick, common sense is more than enough.
Now measure from the base of your penis to the tip of the implant (distal part). For example if it is 15cm then you know you have only 1.5cm inflateable part in your crus. If your proximal part is then 10,5cm and you only have 1,5cm inflateable part there it s clear why you dont have enough stability in your penis. All what you need is to think logical.
Your dick would be much stronger with 26cm -0,5cm cut off. You would end with
19,5CM INFLATEABLE
6cm NOT INFLATEABLE
A difference in 3cm more inflateable cylinder in your crus. Big difference if you have 1,5cm or 4,5cm inflateable part in your crus.
I think it s easier and faster for the surgeon to take the 22cm pre connected Implant compared to a 26cm XL and customize all the parts together (Coloplast is pre connected up to 22cm/ with the 24XL the surgeon must built all the components together). He will safe at least 15min in the OR. I think that s the reason. But I think this 15min would be a good invested time in your happiness.
