I had a Hydrocele surgery in the 80's and my implant with scrotoplasty in 2018. When I went to see the surgeon for my repair in 2021 he could not find any scar. That is one of the advantages of penoscrotal surgery is the scar can be undetectable. Takes a while but it can happen. I have not had a infrapubic surgery but I have read the scar or scars are more visible. Most men say pubic hair will cover up the scar.

Cheers, but it's not the scar I am too worried about. The skin is numb and has thickened, this is making it difficult to deflate as part of the scrotum is thick.. The numbness also extends to the base of the penis.

Seems perfectly normal to me. With a scrotalplasty & a revision being done. You've had a lot of skin cut on. You should expect this. Didn't you go through something similar with your initial surgery??

Thanks for your reply, my initial surgery was sub-coronal, didn't notice any thickening of skin etc.

Is it reasonable to expect the skin and feeling to go back to normal within the next few months?

We are all different but mine was slow to go away completely. It became more difficult to find until it was gone. I had trouble with sensation and it also took almost a year to return to good level. A bit over a year to recovery completely. I also had length gains out past a year. You had a lot done with the TEP and implant. Some men recover really fast but for many there are improvements for a year or more. My repair incision was smaller than either my hydrocele scar or my scrotoplasty scar. The repair incision was horizonal where the other 2 were vertical. I cannot find any of them now. Follow your doctors instructions and do the cycling work as per your doctors instructions. Not many men have a TEP done with implant so you are different in that for most of us here. Give it time to improve. You should have a lot of good changes in the first year post op. I told myself I would not judge my results for a full year post op. It can just take things a long time to normalize with some of us and I had read enough on this board to believe that was a safe amount of time.
