Glycem, I haven't seen you post who your surgeon was. I guess that it might not matter very much now who it is.
But the more important questions are how did you find him?
Did you ask how many implants he does a year, in his career?
Did you have at least a brief discussion about if he did revisions?
I know that after the fact these points now have a greater meaning. The forum has their fanboy favorites. But careful review turns up a lot of good implant drs that do very acceptable work consistently.
I don't want to beat you up or throw shame at you. What I would like to happen is that you tell the path that got you where you're at. A poor outcome with a low quality dr.
Fellow FT members. Please post the names of drs in Kentucky for a fellow members sake.

The likelihood of winning ANY medical malpractice case is extremely low.
Hospitals and doctors aggressively defend these cases, they use each other as expert witnesses to back up their claims, and almost all procedures require you to sign a document that releases them from liability for almost every possible mishap.
Even winning an outright negligence case is next to impossible. I know, doctors killed my Dad after a very minor surgery. :x :x :x

The only exceptions are usually celebrities who could garner national media attention, and the doctors would rather settle than have the story go public.

My dr told me that getting me out of the hospital as quickly as possible was part of the infection control strategy. Lots of mutated drug resistant bugs in them. A large local hospital was demolished & a new facility was built on its site. Popular rumor at the time was that it had a super bug that they just couldn't get control of. I don't know any facts but an older hospital built by the same owners about 30 miles away is still well regarded & in business.

Ive been seeing this urologist for maybe 7yrs.

Weve been talking bout the implant the last I guess 2yrs or so

He works for a hospital.

I know there was wrong on both sides. My sex addiction got the best of me and apparently the loss of his father took 4-5 weeks to get through which I'm heartfelt over for him.

I know this majority lays on me for my actions but I'm just saying there just should have been a care team on hand for these kind of situations so I wasn't left in the dark on the care & cycling areas.

I'm really not wanting to sue I just want to get it repaired correctly and I'll abide the rules without doubt since I well know the shortcomings now of not following instructions.

Waiting on responses from UK Urology and one other Dr with baptist health... their my only 2options now that accept my insurance and can skin graft

I just got out my surgeons post op timeline. Now do understand that its a guideline & some can take longer or shorter times. He clearly says intercourse can begin at 4 weeks. We had sex at 6 weeks because my wife was out of state.
Now the lecture. My dr only uses AMS products. He is in several of the Boston Scientific YouTube videos. My experience & outcome is with a AMS CX model only. Having said that, I think that what I say applies to LGX also.
I had penoscrotal surgery & that is what I wanted. I experimented with various methods to keep my penis vertical for I think 30 days. I inflate, keep it at max the best that I can. I had a weekly checkup with is nurse at 1, 2 & 3 weeks. I did not see him until 6 weeks. So reading between those lines. His nurse gave me the have sex approval.
I'm a pretty firm believer that if you do something physically wrong. Its gonna hurt. I've not went back to read all your posts. But I do not remember you saying it was painful during or after the sex. I'm going to presume that you had vaginal sex, she was reasonably well wet/lubed.
Your lack of surgery details makes me guess on a lot of my points. One issue that I have is 7 years doesn't translate into being good at implants in my mind. Did he ever provide any reasonable assurances that he was skilled in THAT procedure?
Rather than lecture more. I searched the implant forum using Kentucky as the search word. There is several at least decent surgeon available to you. Even a father & son namr Knoll if I remember correctly.
Also, for his grief. I understand, but drs are trained to take care of their patients as a priority. What I suspect you need is a better dr, one with skills. Quit beating yourself up over a suspected mistake. Did he do any test to see if the damage is consistent with what you did. I personally think he's just showing you the door. I'm not convinced you did the damage. But, again did you have any significant pain during or after.
Get into a better dr asap.

One this that comes to my mind is a clause in insurance policies. In limited area policies like I used to have if there was a service not offered or done by all the doctors in network it permitted you to go out of network. I used this clause to go out of network for my self pay BCBS policy to have my repair. Might want to check with those 2 doctors and see if they do grafts. If not it may require one of the doctors to file paperwork to send you to a doctors that does do them. Might have to also reach out to your insurance with some doctor names to see where they want to send you. My referring doctor sent me to a doctor in Texas that did not accept self pay or single policy insurance and it really was a lot of extra time finally getting sent to a doctor who would do my repair. Insurance really hated to pay for this for me. Just wanted to add this.

Unsolicited opinion. I wouldn't be sure of needing grafts without a diagnosis from a better dr. There has to be a better one than the original dr in his area.

I know every case is different… but! Except in specific cases a lot of the top tier Drs (perito, Eid ) will have you cycling even sooner than you did. And in a lot of cases having sex as early or even earlier than you did. I used a Dr in Texas that was certified by Perito and I started cycling at 14 days and had sex at 3 weeks. He did say to go very easy, use lots of lube and listen to your body. It was uncomfortable but still felt good. Perito says the best therapy is sex. Unless you went full on hard sex and didn’t listen to your body it’s unlikely you are at fault with the issues. You’re vague as to what exactly your issues are and I agree with others that there is NO WaY I would take any suggestions from your original surgeon as to what is needed to repair your issues. Might be worth a phone call to Clavel in Houston for a phone interview. He definitely does some diffiycases and from what I read he is among the best! I know it would be a flight and some stay out of town for a few days but his staff would definitely be able to check and see if your insurance is accepted there. Would be worth a call. The day my implant fails I will be calling Dr Clavel and going to see him immediately although it is a 7 hour drive or a short flight away.

Apologies on late response.

I've been told I'm double herniated and need skin grafting to repair and my pump is sunk in from the collapse and made me like 3-4" smaller to the point I can't even have sex atm.

Baptist health said no and that I probably need plastic surgeon but this was by office notes. I can't even get an appointment with anyone. Still waiting on response from UK Urology.

Will call Dr Clavel tomorrow. I don't see him listed as a provider with my insurance but I'd pay cash for a video appointment even atm.

I just want to know right now if I should still be cycling because I quit when I got this news and the pain came back.

As far as the Surgeon please understand I'm hesitant to name names atm.
