Yes, the cylinders are washed in an antibiotic coating before inserting them into you. It seemed to penetrate to the outer layer although it left no sign of irritation, no redness.
Somewhere on FT a person described exactly what I felt, and what their doctor diagnosed. At the time this was happening to me COVID had just started so I never followed up with my doc. I've always had issues with prescription meds, antibiotics especially. Aspercream helped me a lot. Just need to wash it off before sex.
