I would have to go look at my notes to verify. I think I was inflated to whatever. For a week, maybe 1 1/2 weeks. My drs nurse showed me how to deflate/inflate. The instructions changed a couple of times. Basically after maybe 3 weeks I was pumping as hard as I could, holding it there then deflating 3 times a day as I remember it.

Btw, I think a few good drs don't start you cycling but I guess that they assume at some point you will cycle. Afterall you wanted a penis that worked. My non pro advice. If your dr didn't say no cycling? I'd suggest to cycle 2 or 3 times a day as long as nothing feels wrong.

I did pump it just a little. Now, my biggest problem is I haven't been able to find the release button.

Dr.Clavell said he left me at approximately 60% inflated. I always thought the reasoning for this partial inflation was twofold.... 1) the body starts forming the surgical capsule around the implant immediately after surgery, to protect itself against these foreign objects placed inside it . Being 50% + inflated would leave saline in the reservoir as well as the cylinders.....2) as others have said - to preserve size. If the cylinders are deflated for a month plus as the surgical capsule is forming... it may restrict your length when you start cycling.

.... also, you don't want the surgical capsule forming around an empty reservoir. This would restrict your deflation abilities.

Drs are different. I believe Eid has patients start cycling after day 3 if at all possible. When I went in for stitches removal about 10 days my Dr said it was looking great! I could start gently cycling as soon as I wished. I started the next day but he also said never put more than a few pumps in at first til I was sure I could deflate. So I put a couple then deflated. Then put 3-4 then deflated. Gradually built up to max over next couple days. The rest is history. Obviously some people might have difficult situations that may need to heal before getting pressure on them but if all is well and Dt says it’s ok then I loved the idea of having cylinders and resivour both stretching and collapsing during the healing process. 25 months in and it couldn’t get much better!

I was left fully inflated for several weeks, a post surgical error. As a result of this scar tissue formed around the reservoir. Consequently I am unable to fully deflate now, which I imagine will be permanent

Yep, I was about 80% inflated after surgery. My urologist says there are different post-operative approaches preferred by different doctors. But in my case, leaving the implant inflated made things easier once I began daily cycling.

I was inflated to 80 or 90% for 4 weeks. OMG pain you cant believe. My dr said because I needed it. I dontknow but assume was to straighten my PD. Over the years my reservoir has traveled up just below my rib cage. 6years later everything works fine.
