Re: Anal Sex with an Implant?
Hey Rich,
Thanks for your reply. It sounds like you're just about to discover how well it works for our common interest. I have heard from others that it works fine for anal sex so I feel less concerned that I did awhile ago. I see my Urologist tomorrow (Wed.) And I think I'm about ready to tell him to go ahead and schedule me. I'm still scared as hell frankly but I think that's just normal jitters and pre-surgery stuff. I hope so anyway... I really am sick of this ED and want my erections back again.
Good luck to you and thanks again for sharing your story. I'll look up yours and read it.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Anal Sex with an Implant?
Good luck stephen. My wife enjoys anal sex, on occassion, and I have been had this ED problem for about 10 years. Like you I am totally apprehensive about the recovery. But, from the stories in this forum I am totally encouraged. I have made initial contact with the University of Maryland Medical Center, which do approximately 200 such surgeries each year. That sounds like alot and hopefully they are the best. My family doctor told me to go there rather than locally, since, in his opinion, experience in this type of surgery is imperitive. I am not a fan of pain so to be recovering with constant pain is not to my liking, but neither is the lack of effect and the side effects of the available meds. So, truly, good luck and let us know how it works out..

Re: Anal Sex with an Implant?
Thanks Olie20, for your support and comments. I guess I've made my decision. I see my Urologist in a couple of hours today and I'm going to tell him I want to go ahead with the implant. I've been seeing him for several years now. He's the one who did my Prostate Cancer Brachytherapy. He's not as experienced with the implants as I'd prefer but I trust him and I think that goes a long ways towards it working. He say he's totally comfortable doing it, has an excellent record and has no reservations about it "stretching his envelope" as he put it. I just want him to help me stretch mine again...
I'm still having my doubts about it but I think that's normal for one in this position. I'd rather not have to make this decision at all but I do. So off I go to see when I can get this thing to happen. Thanks for the good wishes and I will keep things posted as time goes by. I hope you are happy with whatever decision you make. Good luck to you!
Cheers,
Steve
