Day 2

Didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Had to lie on my back because rolling over on my side put pressure on my scrotum. Even while lying on my back, everything just felt kind of sore - maybe a 4-5 out of 10 on the pain scale, so bearable. Couldn't have anything like a sheet rub up against my erection, so just kept the covers rolled back below my waist.

Removed my dressings this morning, showered, and took some ketorolac and gabapentin since I have to sit for hours in an airport and on a plane. Requested a wheelchair at the airport which was a big help since IAH has a lot of long hallways without moving sidewalks.

Per user comments I read here and on r/penileimplants on subreddit, I bought a donut memory foam pillow to sit on, and a side sleeping block that will hold my thighs apart at night when I'm sleeping on my side. Will see how well it works tonight.

See after pics, below. Note the stitches that start in my scrotum (the penoscrotal incision), which had to be extended all the way up my shaft for plication of my Peyronie's curvature.

Hope you were able to sleep better tonight. Was the side sleeping block worth it, or would have a pillow sufficed? Thanks.

Day 3

First night home after surgery. Got to use the donut pillow and side sleeping blocks for the first time and both helped make everything more comfortable. Now that the long term nerve block I got during surgery has worn off my swelling and pain have peaked, maybe 6-7 out of 10 pain. Last night I took a dose of Percocet I had left over from a prior injury to help me sleep. But was able to take a nap today while back on Ketorolac, so I think the need for Percocet was probably a one time thing. Today I'm probably about a 5 out of 10 pain. Bags of frozen veggies are my new best friend.

Just my opinion: after surgery if you already own a thick, memory foam pillow, putting it between your thighs would probably help side sleepers. But I think regular soft pillows will compress too much, could fall out when you roll over, your thighs will be too close together and your swollen scrotum will be unhappy.

I used the pillow block last night and it worked well - I was still uncomfortable, but at least my balls weren't being smushed. ;) If you decide to buy a side sleeping block, be sure to buy one with an adjustable strap, so it won't fall out when you roll over in your sleep.

I have the same setup but he went with the LGX 18cm with 3rte He also installed a sling all was done on the 11 of Dec 24. took 5 1/2 hours in total at surgical clinic. I had bad Peyonies with 45 deg upward. same penoscrotal incision. all done out I been pumping it up 2 time a day easier each day. Will post some pics

Day 7

Time for some Day 2 v Day 7 comparison. Basically the edema in my scrotum is gone. Now I just have a bunch of shedding skin off my sack related to the prior swelling. There's still some bruising at the upper end of my scrotum where it attaches to the penis, but I suspect that's drainage coming from the healing wounds inside my penis.

The glans penis is still pretty swollen and looks pretty curved at the moment. Dr Clavell's surgical notes said he left me with a 20% left curvature (which is within the normal range) after treating my Peyronie's curvatures - 45 degrees left and 50 degrees up - with plication sutures and modeling. Hopefully the stiffness of the CX cylinders will help with that. So instead of a relatively small penoscrotal incision, I have stitches that extend from my scrotum all the way up my shaft till just under my glans. I can't really see those stitches yet since everything is still pretty stiff. Not really looking forward to cycling with stitches still healing in my shaft, but I guess no pain no gain

In terms of symptoms, it still hurts to walk or sleep with my legs close together, so I'm waddling slightly when I walk. My scrotum is having intermittent shooting pains, which I think is my testes telling me they don't like sharing space with my new pump. The pump is at the rear of my scrotum, near the bottom. You just don't get high riding pumps when you have an experienced surgeon doing the penoscrotal incision. Thanks Dr Clavell. :)

While the stitches in my scrotum aren't really noticeable, the ones along my shaft are hurting. It's not disabling, just pretty uncomfortable. I can't sit in a chair comfortably even if it's padded. So I'm sitting on a donut pillow and heating pad most of the time. I'm only taking ketorolac to help me sleep at night, gabapentin for nerve pain during the day. And I still have antibiotics to take for a few more days.

My penis was inflated to 60% during surgery and is sticking out about 3:00, which i think means my penis won't droop when fully inflated. With lounge pants on it looks more like I'm flaccid and well hung, than looking like I have a boner. But there's not way I could comfortably wear regular pants or jeans at this point. Hopefully in another week my stitches will have healed enough that I can conceal my erection pressed up against my abdomen under a jock or biker shorts if i need to go out somewhere.

The pain is annoying but about as expected at 1 week post-op, based on what I learned from fellow FrankTalkers before my surgery. But I'm fixated now on how straight my penis will be and how much length I may permanently lose due to the internal straightening stitches that were placed to correct my Peyronie's disease. And having to wait weeks to figure that out just adds to my normal level of anxiety. :x

Day 14

One week later, it feels like 2 steps forward, one step back. Yes, I'm definitely healing, but this ain't no cakewalk.

While the swelling in my scrotum is pretty much resolved, the sack is very sore everywhere, not just at the incision site. This may be because the pump and release valve are stiff and fairly large and my sack was never that big prior to surgery. So now it's a bit crowded in there. When I lie down to sleep at night, my tesicles fall back against the pump, which is in the rear of my scrotum. This results in aching in my scrotum whenever I lie on my back, but resolves when I sleep on my side.

The swelling is almost gone now from the shaft of my penis, the remaining pain is centered around the extra incision (required to fix my Peyronie's curvature) I have that extends from the scrotum along the underside of the penis, ending below the glans. The incision is healing well and some of the stitches have fallen out. I've started trying to hold the penis up against my abdomen intending to use tight underwear to immobilize it there and make the erection inconspicuous under regular pants when I need to go out. The stitches don't like being stretched like that, but sometimes you just have to accept some pain for the gain.

I'm starting to feel occasional stabbing pains in my R lower abdomen, probably where the reservoir was placed. I can't feel a bulge there, so I figure it's just the reservoir settling in. But I want to start cycling ASAP - hopefully by 4 weeks post-op - because it's important to deflate the cylinders most of the time, so the capsule will be filled to the max while the surgical capsule is forming around it. Flaccid penis = full reservoir.

Yesterday I also started having intermittent pain in my crus. It's like a cramping session under the perineum. I seems to start when I've been standing for awhile.

I'm only occasionally taking anything for pain now, just Tylenol or Motrin once or twice a day. I'm not using ice packs or a heating pad either.

I am so freaking horny it's driving me nuts. :x It's only been 2 weeks since my surgery and I'm supposed to hold off doing anything sexual for 6 weeks? Dudes, I'm usually a daily masturbator plus sex whenever it happens. I strongly doubt I'm going to make it hands free for 6 weeks.

Summary: everything is healing, albeit slowly. When one source of pain goes away, another one starts up. Sleeping at night is the worst, but I'm still getting 4-6 hours of sleep at night with occasional naps during the day. But my trend is gradually toward increasing mobility and stamina. We've had a neighbor taking care of our very energetic bernedoodle Percy for the past 2 weeks but he's coming home today. I can't wait to start putting my penis back to full employment again. :)

Day 21

Healing finally seems to be picking up a bit in the past few days. I'm now able to sleep during the night without pain from my scrotum/pump or crus keeping me awake. Standing up and sitting down are still a bit challenging, and my crus starts to ache when I do any amount of walking. But it's all just uncomfortable, not super painful.

My glans is a bit less sensitive, it's usually the tip that doesn't like to be touched by anything that moves, like clothing. I have no pain in the penis itself, and the long surgery scar on the underside is healing well - all the dissolvable stitches and scabs are gone and it's a bit less swollen. My scrotum incision is also mostly healed. There was a stitch sticking way out at the bottom of that incision, so I contacted my surgeon who had me pull on it enough to stretch it out, then cut it off. Problem sorted.

My scrotum swelling and bruising are gone, although the pouch holding the pump is still tender to touch. I'm hoping that tenderness subsides in the next week, because I really want to start cycling this thing.

Latest pics, taken today.

Just wondering did Clavell give you the CX or CXR? My data is a mirror of yours to include plication and had @ 40 dorsal PD with heavy fibrosis. Installed initially with CXR, which I hated, but now have Titan 18cm. Rgds
