I was hoping this time around that they could just replace the reservoir line because the cylinders and pump are full functioning. The incisions for those are small and should be less risk for infections.

Good luck and hope they get it right this time, glad to hear that they are removing the reservoir each time you had the revision.

@Wilsonmills, you went from a titan to an AMS was there much difference in length or gerth of your fully pumped size?
We’ve talked about going to the AMS due to all the failures with the Titan but I also got want floppy head or not to be fully sized after making the switch.

I think I actually gained slightly in both length and girth, I do know that in the flaccid state it is much better than the Titan was. Both surgeons I spoke with told me to go with the AMS LGX for the revision and am happy with it. I would speak to a couple of different urologist and ask them how they will treat the implant to lessen the chances of infection and what they would recommend for an implant. Keep us in the loop on how it's going and what you went with.

I’m scheduled to have my revision on March 23rd I’ve spoken to my original surgeon and got a second opinion from another. They both informed me that I’d be best off staying with the Titan for fear the AMS cylinders would not fill the void left by the titans after all these years of having it. They both agreed that it might be possible to replace just the tubing and reservoir but should have a complete replacement on standby in case once they go in and see that the full revision is needed. I will report back after on what was done! Thank for all of your feedback back.

Take comfort knowing that you are the exception and that implants last on average 10 to 15 years. Just ask the manufacturer. The odds of 4 early failures are 10,000 to one. My failure at three years was only a 50 to one shot. Shouldn’t we all be winning the lottery every few weeks?

****Update****

Well I’m in the room waiting on the Dr to release me, I had my 4th revision done yesterday morning. I feel great, I mean unusually great. No swelling at all, not my balls nor my penis. No pain in either and no pain from my staples. I’ve got lots of……….

I was going to say I had lots of questions but the nurse came in and informed me the DR said to remove the catheter and drain. Once I used I use the bathroom I can go home. She didn’t have the answers to my particular questions so I’ll have to wait until my 2 week follow up to get the answers. In all I’m feeling great, looking great down there and can’t wait to try it out in a month or so!

I'm glad you are doing well! Congrats. I see on your signature you keep getting bigger implants on each revision?
What size do you have now?

thats the thing with the ipp's , they can't make an implant with tubes that don't leak ?
it almost seems like the auto industry making parts that are built to break .
Is it that hard to get durable tubing that won't spring a leak in months or a few years ?
or depending on the brand it's the cylinders ...or the pump .
Getting cut open is not the same as changing out a part on a car .
they should make a malleable that could be filled with a little fluid to a desirable
girth then sealed permanently. no pumps or tubes or lines .
