Implant July 20th, 2023, AMS LGX 18cm plus 5 cm RTE
That was the best I could ever do and I should have done it much earlier.

Hi Dan,
My stitches are not completely resorbed. I can still see and feel a part of the stitches sticking out from my skin.
Thanks!

About a week ago doc extended antibiotics for 2 weeks which i am till taking. I am also applying antibiotic cream on the incision site but every time i apply cream it stings a bit, giving me impression that the incision is still raw and not completely healed. I have my first implant cycle scheduled for 28th March and i would hate for it to get rescheduled because of my delayed healing.
Is it normal for incision site to sting 4 weeks in recovery?
Is it normal for recovery to take this long?
Cheers!
TryingHard, at 4 weeks I still had a good bit of pain in my glans, shaft and my scrotum and I had the penoscrotal install.
Even at the 6 week mark when I went back for device training, everything still hurt. My doctor had his male nurse deflate me, which hurt and then he asked me to pump it as many times as I could. I barely got in 10 pumps before it hurt too much and then I had to hit the deflate button again before I left. I was disappointed too with what size I had at that point but I knew that I was still healing.
Like a lot of FrankTalk brothers have said on here already, it takes about 6 months before things really start turning the curve and getting way better. When you start cycling, follow your doctors protocol for cycling, it is important to stretch your tissue before the surgical capsule has formed.
Hang in there,
SWorks
P.S. tell us a little more about you so we can help answer questions better. Do you have any conditions that could delay healing like diabetes. Keep taking baby steps, you'll get there.

Hello “Trying hard”,
First let me congratulate you on being with the same woman, you are obviously satisfying her needs. In my opinion you are not experiencing shrinkage at this time. The tubes will not allow you to get shorter than what was implanted. Your girth will go down as the swelling reduces, however after you start “cycling” you will get that back and probably more. The cycling process is very important process even if you don’t use the “Perito” exercise. My incision took longer to heal so I wasn’t able to start cycling until 7 weeks after my surgery. I was very disappointed at the time but I honestly believe it made cycling easier.

You give me hope. I have seen MPT video on "Perito" exercises and everyone here is talking about. I will definitely start doing this exercise once i am cleared by my surgeon. I am scheduled for the first demo and cycle on 28th of March. I haven't fully healed so keeping my fingers crossed that i am fully healed by 28th.
Thanks again!
The one Perito video that he bends the shit out of the implant is impossible to emulate. Over time I did manage to bend all directions and I think it helped. A suggestion when you are doing it and after it becomes easier to cycle I'd suggest not maxing pumping the implant when bending. I found it much easier to bend. Perito was my surgeon and I always meant to ask him about that particular video. I did bend it pretty hard at times too.

I'm going through the same thing. Received the AMS 700 LGX with MS Pump on January 15th, 2025. Two-and-a-half weeks later noticed the penescrotal wound was open about the size of a US dime. Frightened me so I went into the office. Doctor said leave it alone, keep it clean allow it to heal. I packed it with Iodoform Gauze and alternated with Triple Antibiotic Cream.
Two weeks passed and the hole was only slightly smaller. I was really freaked out by having a hole that I could see into. Doctor agreed to close it up. After getting my second set of stitches it was good for a week, then I looked at it and it was even larger and uglier than before: looked like the skin had been torn open. Thankfully none of this ever caused pain and I only knew what was happening when I used my phone to take pictures down there.
Doctors were able to get me into surgery the next day and the goal was to clean it and try to save the implant. Because it was so bad this time (in my eyes) I really feared having it removed. I didn't learn the results until waking up in the operating room: the device was still inside, there was no infection and I now had two sets of stitches (inside and out) made from nylon. Oh, and I have stopped cycling for now. I'll resume when the doctor gives me the all clear.
I've been doing almost nothing for eight weeks so I can't imagine doing any less. I haven't been active, lifting or bending so I don't know how I kept popping the stitches. Unless it has to do with the fact that I am a heavy fellow with a lot around the middle. Luckily I was able to keep the area clean and didn't suffer any infection.
I'm on day 9 with the new, stronger stitching and am feeling hopeful. My suggestion to you is to keep it clean, continue using the antibiotic cream and communicate with your doctor. If you aren't getting the response you need, then show up at the office.
The healing process is going to take a lot longer for me than expected, but I am happy to report that other than that I am still healthy.

Just want to give you a heads up from what I experienced with growth. Months into recovery I noticed one day that the lower 1/3rd of my implant was thicker. It was weird. Then sometime later the lower 2/3rd's began to fill. I thought to myself what a great sign and of course after a short amount of time later it completely filled up.
