Malleable implant question - comfort & concealability with trousers, tucked shirt, and a belt?

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

This seems to be an advantage of the Genesis too - from the threads I’ve been reading like Duke’s, comments from Lasthope & Driver, etc, it seems like folks with the Genesis tend to have good outcomes on the concealability side. Rigi10 on paper seems to be the “stronger” malleable (or more “rigid” at least) but from comments by easymoney and other guys, I do wonder if it is worth the risk of getting one that doesn’t bend or stow as effectively as the Genesis. It seems to be very hit or miss.

Just want to underscore how great I think this is, as a reply. 80% or so of complete satisfaction is actually very good. Nothing, ever, is going to be 100% ideal. But if you're lucky enough to get to 80%, like LastHope and me, I think you're in a great spot.

Duke - do you feel like your Genesis has gotten you sort of the “best of both worlds”? Are you happy with the rigidity, and do you ever feel like you wish the Genesis was more rigid than it is? I ask because I’m weighing my options right now, Genesis vs Rigi10. It’s a very big decision and I’m trying to make sure I balance out as many considerations as I can.

I do feel that my Genesis has given me the best of both worlds. I'm very happy with the rigidity during sex and I find that it's extremely comfortable almost all the time. I walked 5 miles today at a pretty good pace and didn't have any problems. Nobody seems to notice it at the gym, even though I'm sort of hyper-aware of the bulge being there.

I have a suspicion that there's another guy at my gym here in downtown Chicago who has a malleable, but I am of course absolutely not going to ask, lol. His penis looks just like mine in shorts, and to someone who knows about malleables, it just kind of seems obvious. Weird to see another one in the wild! There aren't many of us, after all.

I am still quite cautious about lifting moderately heavy weight (250+ lbs) in the gym. But that's only because my insurance does not cover penile implants at all and I want to be as absolutely conservative and as cautious as possible until I'm positive that I'm safe from a very expensive, avoidable mistake. I'm hoping to move over to a more inclusive insurance plan at Blue Cross of Illinois, but I still need to do a little more research to confirm whether this is a good idea for me.

And of course, anyone who's read my journal and is familiar with my history will know that I'm avoiding bicycles. Although, I am increasingly interested in the ElliptiGO bikes...

More than happy to answer any other questions. I've been away for a bit because I had a dental situation — a bad tooth infection that led to an extraction and a bone graft. I was exhausted by the infection, then exhausted by the recovery. Now I'm back to eating normal food. I'll be getting an implant (a dental one!) in November or December, I think. I haven't asked about the semi-rigids (lol).

Duke what's your lenght? Do you conceal it up or down?
Hard flaccid syndrome since 2019. Trying to get better with conservative treatments but an implant is on my radar

6.75" long and 5.5" around at nearly 9 months out, but both numbers depend on how aroused I am and how warm it is in the room. Sometimes I look small, like after workouts and if it's chilly. But when I wake up in the morning and when I'm having sex, I get good engorgement in the glans and down the shaft. Weirdly, I think I'm getting more natural morning wood now than I was pre-implant. Some mornings, especially after good sleep, I am really "full."

I conceal it down and to the left, which feels most natural to me. Bending it right feels a tad uncomfortable, so I don't do it. My surgeon's assistant recently told me at my 7-month check in that it's not necessary to do any kind of exercises with bending, etc. unless I have another condition like Peyronie's — but he didn't go into more detail.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024 by the great Dr. Laurence Levine in Chicago.
