Hey principles - so sorry you’re dealing with this man. I can absolutely empathize with you thinking of moving to an MPP at this stage - reminds me a lot of The Driver’s story who just got very unlucky with the IPPs, and moved to the MPP and is VERY happy now. If you end up going with an MPP, I hope you keep posting about your experience, both good and bad! Those kinds of perspectives are so important for the forum.

It's all good! I'm not even sad to be honest. As long as I continue to have options and I'm in good health, I don't have much to complain about. I'm actually lucky that the timing isn't going to affect me personally or professionally at this moment.

And here’s the other thing: some other guys have no problem bending the Rigi10. Search for user mmbambo’s post, he has a HUGE thread for Rigi10 and I seem to recall he didn’t have issues with bending and concealing it. I think it really varies patient to patient.

Principles, do you think there was something done that facilitated the failure? You mentioned rough sex and that this failure was just like the previous one. Is it possible there’s something that made failure more likely in your activities?

After my first failure, I completely reframed my usage of the device. Initially, I thought it failed due to heavy usage, aka, many many cycles. I was very very sexually active during my first year with the implant after the initial healing, and I also cycled every time I masturbated. Let's say the average number of cycles per day during my first Titan's lifetime was 4 * 700 (days) = 2800 cycles during the entire life of my first Titan up to the point where it failed.

This time, I purposedly tried to decrease the average number of cycles per day, thus, I decided to never use it for masturbation. Let's say that the average number of cycles per during during the lifetime of my current broken Titan was 2 * 700 (days, roughly) = 1400 cycles, and it still broke roughly the same 2 years after it's implantation, in an almost identical situation, in the middle of rough / fast paced sex.

That is all to say that I did take additional care, I haven't done any heavy exercising other than my usual routine, which is mostly bodyweight exercises. I have not been running this year either. So other than heavy usage during sex, I have not done anything extra ordinary with the implant.

That’s odd. I guess cycles isn’t what kills these implants. I’m sure it’s a tubing fracture, which seems to just be luck of the draw. That does seem to give a Russian Roulette feel to this whole thing.

Was the surgeon the same? Could his technique in installation be faulty? I’m just trying to find a common denominator to the failures other than the obvious — the Titan itself.

I'm still processing the event. The failure occurred very similarly to the first one. Right in middle of a passionate hard fucking session, I noticed decreasing rigidity, went down on her while I covertly went back to pumping, after 10-20 pumps, the bulb went flat, and I knew from experience what had just happened. Likely a leak somewhere in the tubing, eventually all the fluid leaked within my body. I had my cockring and enough stimulus to finish. But that was day 1 of a weekend with a new girl.

Yesterday, I had to figure something out as I still had another day to go, and I certainly had to keep up appearances. I was able to get enough stimulus through a cockring and tadafila to finish day 2. I made some plausible excuses and avoided fucking 5-10 times a day, instead, fucked twice, and made her cum countless times with my mouth and fingers since my fucking performance would've been questionable without the precious device unlike anything we had before, and I didn't want to raise any performance concerns with this girl. It's a very good one.

Still a successful weekend, but now, just 2 years after this Titan was installed, I have to get back to the drawing board, thoroughly research and plan my next step.

After 2 Titan failures, 2 years apart, with an infection in between, I'm almost certaintly going to go through the MPP road this time.

In a way, deep down, I wanted to get rid of all the pump/tubing paraphernalia, but my main concern based on my Tactra experience was performance. I had issues like buckling with hard sex and some other positions with the malleable, but I'm more inclined to risk that, then to face the higher chances of infection, harder recovery, and premature failure with yet another inflatable device.

This is all very recent, happened less than 48 hours ago. I'll schedule an appointment with the doctor next week and I'm back to researching in the meantime.

No hard feelings, no regrets, not an easy journey, but given optionality, I'd still choose an implant any time over intermittent erections.

Hello bud , i have a tactra and i cant recall any buckling . i see you had 13mm rods as well . is the length causing the buckling ? What was the over length of your tactra .? [oh never mind its in your signature -23 , so if you dont mind , what is your penis erection length ? . that might be the issue with the buckling} mine is 21 cm and a little over 6 inches in length .
the only thing i haven't tried is anal [ and i aim not interested, i have done that before back in the day , with 2 different girls and its not my thing ]

for concealment , you already have experienced with that aspect , but for me when i wear cargo shorts ,its not at all noticeable . they are probably looser fitting than slacks though

That moment when it go's, you know, what a fucked feeling,,, and yeah it's your tubing that let loose somewhere, 2 years is pretty good, thats the longest my IPP went, and yeah its probably the rough sessions that made it blow, but what the fuck ???? do they get there supply of IPP's thru the DOLLAR STORE ?
I wouldn't go with another IPP if my life depended on it,, which one of those surgeries could have taken out anyone of us at anytime.
I'm perfectly happy with my MPP and we can get as rough and fucking wild as we want, I don't have any problem with buckling or stowing it away, only lost a 1/2 inch of girth, I think they expect people too fuck like preachers, then put it away and maybe use it again next week,,, not my style,,,, so fuck them IPP's for me.....
Tough decision brother, I lost all kinds of sleep going over that decision, your a young man, it all come down to your hopes and wish's for what lays ahead in your life.
I would bet real good money that the surgeon will subtly push you for another IPP,,,, and why wouldn't he ? it would be kind of stupid for him to push for the MPP and never make money off you again.
We went to a adult campground this past weekend, Friday night I stuck around the RV with the dog and she went to there club house at the campground and lets just say the wifey is very good at getting other women interested in some fun, and she found a couple of very, very curious women and brought them back to the RV Friday night with her, too my surprise she had already told they about my implant, and to tell you the truth I had a hard time to get rid of them 2 gals that night, me and the wifey worked them over well.

Sorry but the driver's case isn't rare at all...I can post lots of similar stories...let alone those who aren't active on FT...and multiple failures in a short span isn't a matter of luck..mathematically speaking...especially when it happens alot and not once in a blue moon.

^^^ this is fair, but I meant from the perspective that The Driver had like, 4 IPPs in a row with failures occurring very quick one after another. That to me definitely seems HIGHLY unlucky and way outside of the norm - even with Coloplast’s tubing being a known issue.

If they did, I also wonder if they had an easier time adjusting to the MPP because of potential formation of the capsule thanks to previous IPP surgery.

I also found that the capsule story that the driver's doc told him is interesting. Make me think, if someone knows that eventually he'll end up with a mpp, it does make sense to start with an ipp earlier ?
