I own one too! I went back for an hour on day 2. Then a bit longer the next day. By day 3 I was there for most of day. Do what is comfortable. No lifting. Sit at a table have some coffee.
You ok boss. Yeah just a little surgery - you can always say hernia if you feel need to explain.

I was only out 3-4 days I think.

On my revision, I probably could have gone back on day 2.

Today is my 21-st day post-surgery. I spent 4.5 hours assembling a dresser, but yesterday I couldn't stand on my feet for even 15 minutes. I must say that I had a very complex surgery with additional manipulations. It still hurts to stand and walk. I recommend you take more than 10 days off. You can always go back earlier if you feel well. Healing is different for everyone. I know people who were already fine after a week, and I know others who took painkillers for several more months. If you have the opportunity to sit or lie down for a while at a restaurant from time to time, that's great. You definitely won't be able to stand on your feet all day. You'll go crazy.

I’m sorry to hear that brother sounds like you’ve really been through it.I hope things start getting easier for you day by day.As for me, I’m honestly terrible with pain, so we’ll see how it goes.I’m planning to take my 10 days off… mostly from my wife Let’s hope for the best.

If you don’t have any complications, ten days should be sufficient. I would have been back to work in a similar timeframe, but a hematoma dictated more rest time.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m worried about the complications.I’m planning to be smart those first days: no lifting, no rushing, just light walking and managing the place.If everything stays clean and no hematoma shows up, 10 days sounds doable.But if something flares up, I’ll take the extra time. No point risking the implant for a few days of work.

No problem. Also, make provisions for caring for your incision while you're at work. I put Neosporin and Silver Sulfadizine on the incision several times a day, and so far my incision has looked perfect. That's the primary entry point for infection so take care of it.
