Should be AMS LGX700 - but final call will be made during surgery. Urologist says he does both, but tends to favour AMS due the flaccid feel of the implant.

Okay Brotherhood.

Just got off the phone with the surgeon. Bloodwork was all good and things are a go for one week from now.

Will be implanted with an AMS lgx700 with tenacio pump unless there is significant fibrosis - then it will be a CX.

The doctor and work were really generous and gave me 6 weeks off to recover.

Looking for advice on what I will need during recovery.

I have ordered a few sets of a size up lounge pants, shorts, and shirts. I order some jock straps and a specialized jock with a pouch for an ice pack. I also have some more icepacks in the freezer.

What else would you recommend to assists with recovery?

Boredom, believe you or not, will become a factor.
For a few weeks you will be able to do nothing more physically demanding than walking around the house.
I watched tons of movies and shows, read many books yet I was feeling that I wanted my normal routine back.

You are lucky to get your surgery done that soon. In Ontario I had to wait about 1.5 years - about 3 month to get to an urologist dealing the implant subject. He had to refer me to a doctor who does surgeries, and I had to wait for 9 months to see that doctor. Then another 6 month to get it done.

Your story somewhat resembles mine as I started getting ED in my mid 30. And I also blamed depression, anxiety and overwork stress while the root cause was the venous leak condition. Although I had a strong case of leak so that even injections wouldn't work, everything would flush down the blood stream causing me red face and heat waves while virtually no erection.

Implant is a good investment. That was the first time I felt like I was getting something from hefty taxes I had been paying for my entire life.

My surgeon was dr. Brooks in London ON back in 2017 but I believe he has retired since.
I got LGX in 21+3 setup which was plentiful, no length loss.

I have somewhat of a similar story, although Viagra worked quite well for me up until the age of 33, and then hit or miss. Doctors gaslit me for years saying it psychological - and I was never even referred for a doppler ultrasound. Generally very poor and dismissive care in the Canadian system for these issues. I had to educate and engage in very strong advocacy for myself.

On the bright side, Dr. Rapaport is well known as an excellent surgeon. Him (Vancouver) and Yonah Krakowsky (Toronto) are probably the best in Canada. I had a consult with both, when I was moving from Ontario to BC. In the end though, I went to the US for rapid access to a higher volume surgeon, who specializes in all implant models (Dr. Clavell). Dr. Rapaport mainly deals with AMS, and had done very few Titan implants. I went with the Titan..
