Anyone used Dr. Meyer's at NW Sexual Medicine?
Re: Anyone used Dr. Meyer's at NW Sexual Medicine?
Ok so I need to know some of the national doctors out there. I had my titan implanted on June 28, 2013 and it is October 5, 2013 and I am still not able to use it and the pump is sitting at the base of my penis and won't move down. I also woke up to find that the cylinders were not implanted correctly. My cylinders stop right before the head of my penis. In return I have a floppy head and can't penetrate my partner. My doctor says i should be able to use it. He says everything is fine but I want a second opinion. I am completely unhappy with my implant so much that I wished i wouldn't have had it done and just have had a hit or miss with the cialis as I had a couple venous leaks. I saw another urologist who i was told did the implants and after i saw him he said he does't do them but he did say i should find someone maybe the national ones as my implant is not normal it should go through to the head. And that I should be able to use it and penetrate my partner. I also when i was able to get it in i couldn't feel my penis moving and I can masterbate but only when pump isn't pumped at all and now I can't feel when I am ejaculating it just started spraying all over with and since my surgery i have really runny cum which i have never had and its clear now. Really frustrated I also went from about 8 inches hard to about 4.5 inches hard. Doc said at most i should have lost no more than 1 inch. Any info would be helpful.

Hi Gary,
First of all, congratulations on your new Coloplast Titan Penile Implant.
I was implanted with the Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
I would do it again in a heart-beat!!
Also, the implant does not at all interfere with any of my physical activities, e.g., weight lifting, swimming, hiking, etc.
Wishing you a lifetime of pleasure with your new Titan Implant.
Bob

My doc, John Greisman, is in Encinitas, Ca., a suburb north of San Diego. He has been doing implants since the 1980s and has done about 1000. He did a remove and reinstall early this year of an implant for another person that has posted on FT and that person had some of your problems with his first implant that had been installed by a different doc. If San Diego is an option for you I think he would be a good choice to fix your problems.

My surgeon is Dr. Edward Karpman in Moutain View, CA. Supposedly he does a lot of repairs of other surgeons' less than satisfactory work. He's a great guy and had me cleared for intercourse three weeks post surgery. My length is now within one quarter length what it was when I was twenty. As I'm only about three moths out of surgery and have an LGX, I expect to reach full length and girth compared to my youth.

I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.

read several references to medicare paying for implant surgery. Does anyone have more information on this? They wouldn't pay for oral ED meds or injections. Can anyone advise how to go about getting the surgery covered?

Medicare currently pays with no quibble even though they don't pay for other ED treatments. My doc told me that the doc who invented implants had a friend who was a senator so the doc got the senator to have implants covered by Medicare. We should all thank them both.
I have Medicare Part B, Part D and a Medigap F policy. My total cost of the implant was $6 for copays for the post-op pills.
My doc also said that he thought one day when they were cost cutting Medicare they would stop covering implants, which was one reason to go for the surgery now.
