Most, but not all, guys can get harder than they have ever been in their life. Most, but not all women, do NOT like you (well ok, me) that hard. In some of the links above you'll see that other single guys have the same experience. If you're sharing knowledge of your implant, one of the benefits is the ability to adjust hardness to what the woman wants, and they do have different preferences. Also, you will find that optimum hardness can vary with positions and activities (eg oral vs vaginal sex). If you're not going to tell them, you might not want to max the hardness. Especially if you're long enough to hit their cervix. If you're really hard that can hurt them. There was a married guy who reported a while back that his wife had to go the the doctor for bruising after the first time they had sex because he was so hard it injured her. Also for me, it feels better to me when I'm not maxed out.

Does adjusting mean that one can choose not to pump it up fully, but still be able to penetrate her? I haven't received an implant yet, but will probably do so in a few months. One of my concerns is the fear of overpumping it and causing an "explosion". Is this even possible or does the pump get so hard, that I will know it's pumped up to the max?

Yes. Pumping hard enough for penetration is many pumps less than the max, at least for me. It probably varies a bit one guy to the next, but I think what I said is true for most. Pumped to the 'max' for me, means squeezing the pump as hard as I can with both hands. Its at the 'max' when I can't get any more out of it. No chance you can cause an 'explosion' unless possibly something is highly defective to begin with. The only time I ever pump to the max is for therapy, to stretch things out. I don't do that much anymore, but I did it pretty much every day for the first year.

Here is a link to an analysis of Titan XL cylinders where they used a measuring device to measure rigidity. It states that hard enough for vaginal penetration is in the range of 500-800 of the units of pressure they were measuring. The median recorded pressure for participants when at the 'max' was in the range of 1600-1800, and the max for any participant was 2000. So, generally speaking, there is a big gap between hard enough for penetration and max hardness.

Max hardness is partly a function of how strong your hands are. In the study some participants couldn't get nearly as much pressure when they pumped themselves as the doc could when the doc pumped. Others could get just as much pressure as the doc. Depends on your hand strength. Implants are not recommended for men with significant arthritis in their hands because they can't work the pump well enough. You will be surprised how much strength it takes to pump to the max as well as to get proper deflation with the Titan OTR pump.

One further point of clarification. While pumping to the max is, for me, a two handed thing, when actually having sex I never pump it past the point I get to with one hand. Well, with my right hand, and I'm right handed. I don't have the coordination in my left hand to do single handed pumping. Its not only a question of strength, but the pump is slippery and it takes coordination (and practice) to pump one handed without having the pump slip away.

As noted in the previous links, the user Illuminist points out that if you're trying to hide that you have an implant, you need to be careful how you position yourself, so you have access for your dominant arm and hand if you're going to pump during foreplay. Or perhaps you need to practice a lot with your non-dominant hand too.

TEBozo, I'm located in Italy and have my own Uro to make this procedure. We are going with the AMS CX, which he claims to be the best fit for me, however I did wanted to go with the LGX.
I'm considering going to the US and visit dr Eid and see what he thinks before my surgery.
