Specifically my concern is the implant is not supposed to harden the glans, just the shaft. If I understand correctly, the glans will either get hard on its own or it won't. Does the fact that one has VL-based ED mean after an implant the glans will still have an inability to fill up and STAY filled up with blood by itself?
All responses welcome of course but I'd specifically be interested in anyone who had a fully-functional penis during part or all of their youth only to be struck down by VL and then resume their sex life via implant. Did the implant restore everything you had before onset of venous leak?
I think I'm realizing I've had this issue my entire life. I just thought it was a psychological thing. I'm 43 now, and have had to maintain constant physical stimulation as long as I've been sexually active. Also, anything like a disturbance or lack of focus on my part would result in loss of erection as well. I suppose I have a venous leak. I've been through Viagra, Cialis, Trimix, and now after about 8 months, the Trimix is starting to become less effective. Now, I believe because I have built up a tolerance, without any chemical assistance, I can barely get a partially hard erection, and it certainly isn't functional. I'm extremely frustrated, and have been my whole life, as it's been the source of many failed relationships.
I see the implant as a rather daunting last resort, but have been encouraged by some of the previous posts. I'm very eager to see what others think about the implants helping with this issue. So bumping this up to see what others think.
