Retiree. Only 20% disability. I was one of those guys who never went to sick call.

Degenerative disk disease, diminished lung capacity due to sarcoidosis, 5 hernias, 2 rotator cuffs, and 50% hearing loss = 20%. Oh well.

I'm on a Tricare Select, which used to be standard. Higher co pays, but no referrals required to see any doctor at any time. I don't have to go thru family practice doc o get to urology, etc. I go the Tricare route instead of VA.

20% co-pay on surgery, surgeon fee, anesthesia. Tricare allowable for that is roughly $24k.

Catastrophic cap is $3000 per year, so the most I can get hit for the entire process is 3 grand.

Bionic dick, here we come.

I got my implant through the VA after a long road of PTSD treatments.

The VA like any other government agency can get mired in “Red Tape”. I received advice to reapply for anything I thought was caused by or made worse by military service, but do it through the Disabled American Veterans service organization. They were able to help me many years before the meds for ED stopped working and a implant became my best option.

Good luck to you
ED 20 years, Peyroine's Disease diagnosed in 2018, at 57 years I was implanted September 3rd 2019 at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, AMS700 CX 21cm + 2cm RTE
