I know at least 3 different students worked on mine. I got to talk to one for a moment before he had to leave or get in trouble for not keeping up on rounds. He told me a lot about the surgery that is not in the record but not all as he had to leave. 2 students were excited they installed the largest LGX.

I have participated in many studies and had a rare tumor that had been reported previously occurring in medical literature 33 times, ( I was the 34th time) and the only one in a male ever founded to be benign. I was studied extensively and the hospital presented forms to study indefinitely. I have no issue with students. You have to be a student to learn. Most issues have been under supervision of a doctor teaching the students and I do not think worth a damn as a teacher when issues arise. I have conferences with my employees and outline the process we are going to do step by step. Screw ups cost money, take time and piss off me and customers. A good teacher is also a good supervisor. If you teach to do a good job, they learn to do good work at which time less supervision is needed. It you let them screw up they continue to screw up. Milam seems to have an arrogant don't give a damn attitude. I do not see that conducive to a good teaching environment.

Yes, I would get another implant if it addresses most of the issues I have with this one so they are no-longer an issue. Otherwise I need to get rid of this damn thing. At this point is it more like a nail sticking through the bottom of my shoe puncturing my foot than anything close to what I was looking for.

All this talk about Dr. Milam at Vanderbilt leaves me to wonder if he did the actual implant himself? I know Vanderbilt has a medical school, and I wonder if he is is the chief of Urology at that medical school and maybe a Vanderbilt medical school intern actually did your surgeries under his supervision.

All this talk tells me to travel to New York for Dr. Eid or see Dr. Kramer in Baltimore. Thanks to Merrick for his guidance and wisdom in helping guys. I live in the southeast and certainly will not be going to Vanderbilt. So sorry for your poor results. Hopefully your revisions will make you happier.

Milam is not the chief of Urology, although he is an assistant professor of medicine at Vanderbilt. I'm sure he has many assistants helping with surgery. Hard to know the extent of of their involvement since I'm sure they are being trained under Milam as part of the teaching hospital protocol.

He always returns emails, often in less time than you expect including late at night and weekends. Does this guy ever sleep or have a life outside of work? His staff is helpful by phone also. 2 years ago Milam's staff was helpful by phone. Now it is easier to deal with the DMV by 10 fold. d
