Richard, Catman, you are correct. As others have said in several other threads, when you have the capacity, and your mind knows it, your libido tends to respond.

Just as, if your capacity is gone, your libido tends to shut down. Use it or lose it.

I still don't feel that I have a good understanding when people say 'it's all in the head'. This actually scares me

The reason is that in addition to being mental I also think libido is physiological. Example: waking up with a morning erection and the feeling in your penis. Right now I have the mental 'libido' but I honestly don't feel very 'horny' compared to when I had morning erections or a hard on when dancing with a girl on a night out or simply by thinking about sex, etc.

I really want that physiological horniness back. Don't you guys remember this? Best example is as a teenager - you just start kissing a girl and her clothes seem to fall off. That was my dick speaking and she would hear it, and my brain. How does an inflated implant compare?

I'm curious as well. But either way, do we have a choice? You take what you can get. It's never going to be perfect. You can either have no erection or you can have an implanted erection. You can't have a natural one like you did in your teens.

I get that JayGould- that was an extreme example as I was seeking to point out that libido is not all in the mind. Looking to really understand what the implant does to the physiological component

It frees you. It's liberating. It cures ed. Once the mental burden of ed is gone, the physiological aspects of sex improve.

Lost Sheep - No, those 2 links have very little to do with this thread's question. It is helpful however to hear your perspective on dating. In my case while my peyronies / ED is bad if I wait a full week before a date I can still get it up and well enough to have intercourse with a woman. I wish I could do it more and not experience pain or wonder whether it's going to get worse...

I think I'm stressed right now too because I began my current relationship on highly sexual pretences. We slept together on our third date/day together and if I hadn't been leaving town it would have been on our second. I get super worked up / horny (with some ed mind you) if I haven't haf sex or masturbated for ~1 1/2 weeks. The thing is after I climax my my libido / interest in sex goes way down. It just takes a lot of stimulation and a big build up of semen? to be able to get/maintain an erection. Then the more I have sex the more the veins/'plaque' feels pain and the more my libido goes down, ed meds or not.

I think before I decide on an implant I have to not be in my curremt relationship. In addition to an implant starting my next relationship on diffent pretences and opening up before sex is another option to an implant
