I took all the pills. They quit working after 2 or 3 years of trial and error. Tried a VED. Huge waste of time. Changed URO and went to injections which worked well for a few (couple maybe) years and then to implantation. Wish I had skipped all of them and gotten an implant. Best move I made in many years. Ask my wife. :D

I think that implant surgeons will do the implant if you convince them that "you reject the side effects or lack of spontaneity" problems associated with pills or injections.

For me, I worry a lot, and I was fixated on the fear of 1% chance of infection; and I did not want to go in to have somebody "cut on my penis" unless I was out of options.

So, I followed the path: Pills ---->injections----->injections+pills--->injections +cock ring ---->implant

Now, I am super happy with the sexual spontaneity provided by the implant and the glory of being just 60 seconds away from being able to have sex anywere and anytime.

Having gone through the above step sequence meant that I had nothing to lose, so taking on the small risk and going through the temprary post surgical pains was very easy to rationalize in my mind.

PS: I agree that you should have somebody to have sex with if you are going to go through this procedure (you will be down for a week and your insurance carrier will be out 28,000 bucks).

Couldn't be better Donnie. Well, it actually could be. I could be hung like my neighbors stud horse  but that would scare the hell out of my wife.

I agree with the holiest of schlongs asside from that immaculate conception thing, however that happened. If I had known what I know now, I would have gone straight to implant. Nearly 30 years of muse, viagra, levitra, cialis, combos of all, injections, injections with pills, pump ( don't ask me how many I wore out, I threw away 5 old ones last week on a shelf), combos of pump injections and pill combined. It is a nightmare that never gets better. It strains/stresses all parts of your being and undermines your confidence, social life and marriage, affects you at work. If you are certain you have issues and can go for it, do it and not suffer the consequences of not: lost size, peronies damage, stress, monthly costs, relationship and job issues, lost self esteem.

One more step: my original urologist insisted I undergo psychoanalysis - even before he would prescribe injections. My shrink believed and had me convinced my problem was that I was angry with women since I went through a bitter divorce about the time my ed started. (It actually started a lot sooner). This, in spite of the fact that I met and married the woman of my dreams less than a year later. Thank god she was very understanding of my ed. Long story short, after wasting a few years & thousands of dollars, I fired the shrink & the urologist & found Dr. Karpnan & now have a beautiful working dick & what a difference it has made in my life. And yes, I tried all the other things too, if only I had gotten the implant 20 years sooner...
