Flying with an implant

I agree that privacy is key, and you do not want your travel buddies to hear the explanation about your penile implant. So, I usually make sure that my travel buddies go first through the line.

For me, I have never had to have a TSA pat-down or have never had an issue, but the idea of sending your partners trough first might be re-assuring

Made it through the X-ray with no problems, not even a sideways glance or a snicker from tsa. I did send my grandson through first however, just in case. I deflated and tucked away as much as I could that morning, but my cx remains stiff and stubbornly asserts itself trying to imitate a concealed weapon. Fortunately there must be enough of us around they are used to us bionics by now. Fully deflated & workouts at the gym, 5 mos post op - had no problem keeping up hiking the rainforest with a 14 y/o today.

The metal detector is never an issue, but with the xray I get flagged with a "groin anomaly" every time. They offer a private pat down if desired, but always seem to be running to catch flight and have them do the back of hand pat in full view.

Been flagged in Phoenix. They pay me down & had me go to an isolated room. I told them my situation & they asked if I could drop my pants. I complied & whipped it out. They were astonished & said I was free to leave.

When I got my Titan implant, the key chain and fluff that came with it said I had metal in my implant, but nothing about having to disclose it for X-ray. So that should not be a problem for us Titan guys.
Now, if you are getting an MRI, different story, and that would be a big 'yes' that you should disclose your implant to the technician, just to make sure everyone is on the same page.

I have done MRIs x-rays i was told its surgical steel doesn't concern them so i don't say anything haven't had any problems just my 2 cents
